Borgoguy
Thanks, SFJ. Now I can see how wrong my chordings are.
SoFlaJets
Thanks, SFJ. Now I can see how wrong my chordings are. t's face it BG-there ARE no shortcuts...I try, God knows I try. I go to Chordie or FretPlay or 911Tabs and 9 outta 10 times-they're wrong. You still have to put the song on and play along with it. The thing is a decade ago you used to be able to get actual chords from the internet. They Napstered that whole deal even before there was a Napster. Here's another cool one you might like; http://www.lovebolts.co.uk/index.php

You could get really accurate chords or TABs for virtually any song. Thanks for the link.

I remember Olga too. Huge selection. My fav was Powertab. They even had their own tab software you could download at HarmonyCentral. Members use to rate other members tabs using the 5 star system. Guys would get into arguments about what was correct. I think copyright laws shut them down. Apparently they'll be hosting the stuff at a new site soon. Will let you guys know when I find it. SoFlaJets
Olga-that's right BG that's what it was called. As for tabs-I never could understand them. I actually learned how to play guitar from the chord diagrams in a David Bowie songbook. It had the Ziggy Stardust and Hunky Dory albums in it...Five Years was the one I started with..G Em C D

(Might be a generational thing. ) I have a good ear and can pretty much figure out most rock tunes. I also love folks on YouTube posting lessons or covers of songs. I learn much faster/better when I can see how it's done.
