I don't know him personally. Who knows if the right hitting technique and the right hitting coach couldn't have turned him around. That's what I meant. Now really anyone and everyone could have been on them at some point. Oh and he was hitting homeruns before he came to the Sox. He had 18 in 347 plate appearances and then 20 in 466 plate appearances in 2001 and 2002. He came to Boston, used the wall to his advantage and got more plate appearances and more consistent playing time. He also hit in front of Manny Ramirez, who is a great hitter steroids or not.
