We better give him more money quick or else he's gonna be a pain in the ass! :scare:

He already has been a pain in the ass by skipping the OTA's. :)

But according to Keels' twitter account, he doesn't expect anything to get done until after July 4th.

I say we cut leon and give his money to Thomas Jones.

I know. Thomas Jones is the AFC leading rusher after all. We should lock him up long term before someone steals him from us.

I think we should give him a 5 year, $35 million extension with at least $20 million guarenteed.

He iz the awezome.

where'd you get that info from Gag?

Agent Alvin Keels reports that Leon Washington has decided to report to Jets OTAs as a "move of good faith."

The Jets have confirmed that both Washington and Thomas Jones are participating in Monday morning's practice. Neither player had leverage against the Jets, but Washington is more likely to receive an extension once he comes down from his demands of a contract on par with Maurice Jones-Drew's. Good move Alvin. Like we have said before, negotiate quietly with the Jets. Taking this stuff public isn't going to get you what you want. Thanks Leon, you have always been a class act.

I am going to give max some credit for this. I am 110% sure the agent reads this board since max's twitter to him. I am sure between the twitters and posts here something sunk into his head.

I would hope so. Every single fan loves leon and wants to see him here long term. No one wants to see him for $8m per. He is very good but not worth that kind of cap hit.
