Does he have any good stock tips on there?

I read on there that the new movie he is in will be a blockbuster smash and that you should invest in the producers. Other than that, he was a big fan of Enron and GM.

Yea I hope you dedicate yourself to playing football this year, than talking about it on the radio shows. Talk is cheap Kerry Rhodes. You got alot money from the Jets and your play was never the same after that.

He and B Thomas should be good friends then.

Nothing wrong with being confident but Twitter is the worst thing that ever happened to professional athletes.

Who was the NBA player that sent out a tweet during halftime of a game he was playing in?

Seeing all the Twitter criticism from people with thousands of posts on an internet message board is ironic and funny. JMO

Perhaps Rhodes is being a bit generous with his prediction, but if all the pieces fall in place this season, I don't see why we can't be one of the top defenses in the league barring injuries. We have a handful of elite defensive players and a coach who has implemented a top rated aggressive defense for years. Going position by position, we look very strong in most areas outside of depth.

None of us are pro athletes. If I make a stupid post on JN it will be buried on page 4 within a couple of days.

I have nothing against Twitter, just pro athletes who send out messages for no apparent reason.

LOL. Yeah. I get that, but I think the issue is with the intent. There are people having conversations, and then there is people logging in to tell everyone what they are doing at that point in time. Community vs. Self Promotion seems to be the difference.

I get it...I just don't think it's a big deal. These athletes are human too, and I don't see the big deal in them expressing their feelings and thoughts.

If he's wrong, then he's wrong...no harm, no foul. At the very least, it gives people like us something to talk about. Personally, I enjoy them.

Yeah, I don't like them, but it doesn't bother me too much. I don't really care. Like you said something to talk about.

I do get the fan annoyance. You want maturity, professioanlism and class from your team. You want to be a feared but respected team. The last thing you want your favortie franchise player to do is start mouthing off and acting like some stupid brash 22 year old kid. Even when they are just that, kids. What we want are players that can keep their mouths shut and just produce on the field. And since we are paying and they are getting paid, it shouldn't be a request that can't be fulfilled.

In all seriousness Rex Ryan hasn't exactly been shy in his comments since he became the HC of the Jets. IMO Rhodes is just following his lead.

The difference is that Rex probably doesn't know what Twitter is but his players do.

BTW: Wasn't there an alleged rape at Rhodes place a few weeks ago? Not that Rhodes was involved but shouldn't he be keeping a low profile right now?

I think Rex knows what twitter is, coaches surprise you with what they know, just to relate to the players.

If Kerry has been told that he's clear than there should be no reason to keep a low profile. why should he let some idiots he knows affect his life

Good points Broadway but If I was Rhodes I would be keeping a low profile right now.

Good to hear.

For all those saying to "SHUT THE **** UP". Do you not think it's nice to have players showing a little passion? Even more importantly a little ****ing confidence?

If this group believes they're going to be the best, that's a good thing. That's the mentality I want this defense to have when they walk out on the field, 'cause they sure as Hell didn't have it under Mangini!

I agree. Let them announce it now. There's nothing wrong with a little swagger.

Agreed. As long as you've proven something, like Rhodes has. He is a respected veteran, viewed by many as a top tier safety after the "Big Three" of Sanders, Polamalu and Reed.
