"I didn't come here to kiss Bill Bellichick's rings. I came here to win. I respect him but I don't fear him."

F0ckin love Rex.

I know he hasn't won a game here, yet, but you gotta love this guy's honesty and attitude.

Can't wait for September.

"I didn't come here to kiss Bill Bellichick's rings, I came here to win. We are not intimidated by New England or anybody else."

I love it.

+1000

I was about to write that.

The actual way he said it was:

"I didn't come here to kiss Bill Belichick's ... rings."

He obviously was going to say "Bill Belichick's ass" but caught himself.

This is the PERFECT way to face the Pats. You may lose, but you can't be afraid of them. It seemed like Mangini was afraid of the Pats and it affected the team.

SMC I couldn't agree more. You cannot be afraid to lose against New England, you must ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK and come at them with everything you've got and that is when you will find consistent success against them: When you are aggressive.

I just fell in love with Rex Ryan with that quote.

Also to add on the "not kissing rings" part, that was exactly how Parcells coached in the 1980s.

I read stories about how Parcells used to denegrate the Niners or Bears to his team. It was his way of telling them not to be afraid of them. He did that especially in the 1990 NFC Championship Game against the Back-to-Back SB Champion Niners (which the Giants won).

Mangini was afraid of NE. I think it was obvious.

I have to admit I didn't like the Ryan hiring but the moment he came onto the stage with his Opening Press Conference, I turned a 180 and now that he just came out and said what he said, it sends shivers down my spine. I am so excited for this season and to see if he can back up what he preaches. He is a breath of fresh air from Mangina and Sperm though, thats for sure.

**** the wildcard! Let's win the division. There's no reason why why shouldn't have the best D in the league.

I love this guy. Football is all about attitude. You can have a team of 1st round picks, but if they don't believe in themselves, they ain't going nowhere. It is just like being in a fight. If you don't think you can beat the other guy, you have already lost.

I think that sums up Kerry Rhodes' Twitter post.

Hell, he coached scared against a lot of teams down the stretch last year too :(

Yeah, that was one of the things that did him in.

He was deathly afraid of the 2 win Seahawks in that game.

I love his attitude but the team better back it up because the media as well as the fans are going to rip him apart if we lose important games or just plain suck. It's easy to say how the team is going to do this and that and how tough they're going to be but right now I don't see our O doing ****, we have ****-all for WRs and a rookie unproven QB with two unhappy RBs. The D might be looking good but they're only 1/3 of the game.

How many people are going to state this obvious point?

Of course the team is going to back it up. Rex believes the team will. Will they? Who knows, but I don't think Rex is saying these things thinking his team will fail.

Of course he's not but how many times have we gone though a new coach or first round pick or both that said how great everything was going just to get kicked in the nuts.

It's their nuts, not mine.

Neither you nor I are making these outlandish claims or proclimations.

Rex is. If his team craps the bed, the sht is on his face, not ours.

I'm guessing you don't live in S Florida and get to listen to from Fin fans all year long.

Mick, that's like getting heckled by the helmet wearing kids on the short bus.

Who cares?

The Fins haven't won a title since Nixon was president. They have no basis to talk smack.

Because as of right now he is all style and no substance. I'm tired of the coaches that are training camp and OTA champions and I want some superbowl champions around here.

Someone call Arsis when the SB is in June.
