As the OTA's started for the Washington Redskins, new corner back DeAngelo Hall was playing like his old self. EA Sports picked up on Hall losing a step in his game.

Once a top cornerback in EA Sports' title Madden Football, Hall's overall rating has significantly dropped.

His rating was the biggest drop for any player in the entire game. Once a 93 overall rating, Hall is now rated 68 overall.

Being lowered 25 overall rating points, it was to be expected that Hall wouldn't be very pleased. His twitter feed displayed the following...

"So i just found out that Madden killed my rating. Its all good after this season i'll be back at the #1 spot haha" - www.twitter.com/dhall23

There was a blog published on the redskins official site where Matt Tirl interviewed Hall and asked him about his madden rating.

Coupled with his twitter frustration and play during OTA's, Tirl pieced it all together.

He asked Hall if he knew of Ethan Albright's letter to Madden. A fake letter made by an Internet user posing as Albright who was addressing EA in a negative manner over his overall rating, being the lowest in the game. Hall had heard of that

"I heard that, but it had kinda been in one in ear out the other. But as the release date gets closer, I'm starting to get a little bit more paranoid, I'm thinking about trying to get my name and likeness pulled off the game entirely. 'Cause this is bull."

At this point it was obvious that Hall was upset with the lowering of his rating. He would have to have a successful season to get back on top as his twitter feed indicated.

Asked about EA Sports' in-season roster updates, Hall responded

"They do that as the season goes on, so hopefully if I grab ten or twelve [interceptions], and get my respect back, my dignity back ... we'll see."

It is obvious that DeAngelo Hall is upset with EA Sports for lowering his rating in Madden.

By lowering Hall's rating in Madden, it may just motivate him enough to start covering once again. It's definitely been awhile. EA Sports just gave Dan Snyder, the biggest favor he could ever ask for.

I find this hilarious! How you can possibly be mad over this? You have one of the biggest contracts and you were terrible at best last year. Please shut the **** up.

I find this comically sad or it's funny has hell. If he's taking this serious and can only get motivated based on what other people say about him then this guy is heartless. You should be motivated because you had a down year and you want to prove it to yourself first.

The way I read it though I kind of thought Hall was just joking around. Because what normal person would be motivated because of a video game.

And THAT'S the key word here with Hall.

Hall is a 68 rating? :rl:

I still can't believe the Redskins gave him 6 years, $54 million. The guy the past two offseasons has signed two contracts totaling $134 million.

He only saw $8 of the $80 million from Oakland, but he only was there for 8 games so he was paid $1 million a game.

Unreal.
