The deadschembechlers on Chad Henne

As a Michigan fan who watched Chad Henne destroy every possible big game/big time moment for four years, I wish him the best of luck in Miami (actually, no I don't). I truly feel bad for Miami fans who feel that Henne is going to be something special. He is a bum. All the talent, but can't put it together, even with some special talent around his talent. He will never get it done. Never. His celing is being average.

Soooo, when he beat the Gators in the Citrus Bowl while throwing for almost 400 yards, that was him choking in a big game? Gotcha. Winning your last bowl game in college by slinging the ball all over the field is choking. Got it.

1-7 in Bowl Games & in Ohio State games.

He is a choke artist.

One game doesn't change that.

Anyone can have a lucky day. Henne had one that day. He went out with a bang, but the rest of his career at Michigan was garbage.

1-7 in the big games.

1-7.

BTW, I forget how great that Gator defense was in 2007. Yeah, right. :rl:

And really, if you think about it, the Citrus Bowl isn't a big game. Its the Citrus Bowl. We Michigan fans could care less about the Citrus Bowl and the rest of the garbage bowl games. We care about Rose Bowls and National Championships and Big 10 Titles and BEATING OHIO STATE.

Instead of blaming Henne for those games, why not give the opposing team their due for being a better team. Hmmmm, during that stretch, didn't Ohio State go to the NCAA Championship twice?

They were 1-2 in the nation in one of those matchups and Henne didn't step up to the plate once again. Our team was just as good, if not better. Certainly our QB was much better and yet our QB was the one to **** the bed. Troy Smith isn't as talented as Chad Henne.

2004 vs Ohio State. Henne's rookie year. 27/54 328 2td's 2ints.

2005 vs Ohio State. 25/36 223 1 td 0 ints.

2006 vs Ohio State. 21/35 267 2 td's 0 ints.

2007 vs Ohio State. Pretty bad stats, but he rebounded in the Citrus Bowl. Also, that's the year the Buckeyes went to the Championship.

As for the Bowl game stats, they're right on par with the above stats, look for youself, I'm tired of cutting and pasting.

I watched the game and stats do not tell the entire story. If you actually watched the games, you would realize that Henne fell apart on the drives and moments that it matters most.

Of course, after he was drafted I went back and watched every Michigan game from 2004-2007

One thing though, Lloyd Carr is no longer Hennes' coach. Henne is getting better coaching now and he's been learning the intracacies of the game from one of the most astute teachers in Pro football, Chad Pennington.

My Bad...but it doesn't change anything..Henne can't beat out Pennington for Gods sake...

I agree with your concept, yes. Was just funny because they are an OSU fan group who perform at a Hate Michigan rally every year.

Dude, most Michigan fans will tell you Henne stinks.

Name one QB who learned under Chad Pennington that has gone onto success?

He had a pretty good game against Appalachian State.

That would imply that the Jets drafted anybody of value at QB after Pennington. They didn't, in case you were wondering.

Still haven't either.

Wrong. You simply explained that Chad Pennington was a good teacher. If he's a good teacher, then who are his good students?

Or, is this just that you think he's smart, so he's a good teacher.

Chad was smart enough to get us into the playoffs, but then fail miserably. Romo is pretty much the same way, cept he didn't cost a first round pick or have as many injuries.
