PS17
I have got a bunch: Silence of the Lambs, Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale, The Departed (yes I love mob movies) If I had to pick one though, it would be A Bronx Tale.

Irish Jet
I love mob movies too. Films that I absolutely loved - Goodfellas, Casino, The Godfather I and II, Scarface, The Departed. All great films that I can watch at any time and enjoy.

A great story, an amazing cast, and a lasting legacy are things that stand the test of time.

Maybe to some, not to me. Special effects don't mean anything to me. My favorite movies don't really have special effects at all, minus TDK. 124
So what exactly is "bleh" about The Godfather "as it gets older" then? As its gets old, it will be watched and talked about less and less. There will be less of a reason to watch it. And, like you said, to a lot of people, not having the greatest special effects won't help matters either. Vito Corleone
Gagoots, I never saw the Godfather if you can believe that. How an you say you love mafia movies in one post, then say you've never seen The Godfather in the next? Rent it and watch it before you ever post here again. As its gets old, it will be watched and talked about less and less. There will be less of a reason to watch it. And, like you said, to a lot of people, not having the greatest special effects won't help matters either. Love & Basketball? No one watches or talks about this movie now, except for homosexuals and 12 year old girls. Which are you again? You are extremely stupid, and I move for you to be banned.
