is coming on tonight (Tuesday 6/9) at 8:15 on 552 HDNet Movies. It's called Bloody Sunday. It's about the English troops firing on AND KILLING the Irish in a 1972 uprising. You actually see how things escalated and went so badly out of control-and you actually see the troops killing the protesters. I saw this movie a few years ago late one night and it freaked me out-try and watch this tonight or DVR it.

I already seen it as well as clips from the real march. The English soldiers should have been charged.

this movie has haunted me ever since I saw it one night very late Mick. U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday was written about this event

Saw this one not long after it came out... very good dramatization of a truly horrible set of events.

wait a minute JH-so this is a dramatization of the events? Stoopit me, I thought it was an actual documentary-geez it sucks being stupid, it really does.

I can't tell if you're being serious or sarcastic here... heh

I assume that you are referring to the movie titled "Bloody Sunday" in which this actor (James Nesbitt) portrays MP Ivan Cooper, who organized the march:

I was being serious bro-I actually really thought it was a documentary-the actor did look familiar to me but I just figured it was one of those things when a real person looks like an actor. I thought it was real-I.AM.AN.IDIOT-thanks for letting me know...OK I may have been high that night...

The movie was filmed to look more authentic as if it were a documentary, but if they had actual footage from the command center and of the paras firing on unarmed civilians, I would hope that there would have been consequences for those actions.

kinda

The band have said the lyrics refer to the events of both Bloody Sunday (1972) and Bloody Sunday (1920), but are not specifically about either event.[15] The song takes the standpoint of someone horrified by the cycle of violence in the province. Bono rewrote The Edge's initial lyrics, attempting to contrast the two events with Easter Sunday, but he has said that the band was too inexperienced at the time to fully realise that goal, noting that "it was a song whose eloquence lay in its harmonic power rather than its verbal strength."[10]
