DMaynard
Driving to Florham Park this morning I was nervous as there was a steady drizzle of rain. I was afraid I would get there to find out they again closed practice to the public and practiced inside. However, I was glad to see quite a few people there and the rain had stopped just a little before practice was to begin. There was no rain the entire practice and then rained a bit on my ride home. This confirmed to me that Satan
124
There was no rain the entire practice and then rained a bit on my ride home Dude where were you standing? I would've loved to be there because it rained for the first 20-30 minutes of practice at the 30 yard line on the side closet to the gate where you entered. As for Huey, did you see his legs/ankles this week? The guy has chicken legs to the extreme. I feel like everytime he cuts he is going to break his leg in half. JiFtheOracle
Thanks man, I like to hear fans perspective as oppossed to the Jaded media. The one thing that seems consistent that I am a bit concernd about is Mark's accuracy. That was suppossed to be his strong suit and from what I have been reading, he has been struggling with that.... what did you see in regards to that? I could have given you the $100 to hold in escrow. Yeah, Huey has those skinny legs and a TO top half.

On a couple of his incompletions, the receiver slipped a little on the wet grass. Overall, his accuracy was pretty good. He throws a nice, tight spiral with a low trajectory. I was in an authentic Keller jersey, I think I was the only one. I was in the front row at the 30 on the side where the clock was. Don't know where you were though since somehow you eluded the rain. Actually, I must have missed the first 15 minutes or so, because it had stopped raining just as I got there. What did you think of Shonn Greene? 124
What did you think of Shonn Greene? Over the past two days you can tell that he greatly improved his hands, catching the ball out of the backfield and I remember that run, that was a beautiful run. He looks really, really good, I can't wait to see what he does in the 4th quarter this season and as a starter in the future once TJ moved on. I tried to and didn't see anything spectacular yet.

I saw absolutely nothing positive from Vernon the past two days. Really puzzles me. He looks weaker than the rest of the Backers too when hitting the sleds. I was at least expecting to be amazed at what he looked like after a pro weight training off season. Lets' hope for the best. If this guy stays a dud, it will really diminish the direction the team is going.

DoubleDown
I've been pretty hard on Gholston, but I came away impressed after seeing yesterday's afternoon practice. He looked faster, more fluid, and more confident out there. He put some good pressure on the QB a few times and looked more natural lining up with his hand in the dirt. He was also showing some pass rushing moves as opposed to only using a bull rush last year.

Like I said, he wasn't too impressive today, but I'll settle for inconsistency at this point.

Gas2No99
On 1st Round draft pick and future Franchise QB Mark Sanchez: I think it is OK. On a couple of his incompletions, the receiver slipped a little on the wet grass. Overall, his accuracy was pretty good. He throws a nice, tight spiral with a low trajectory. I love the effect Chad has had on Jets culture and QB appreciation. I loved Chad but it is NICE to see a QB who zips instead of lobs the ball on every throw. ......... haven't had that since Testaverde in '98:rolleyes:

slats
I really appreciate this report, DM. You were looking where I'd've been looking: at the WR's. I love your optimism here. I hope you're right. Is Brad Smith lining up opposite Cotchery with the ones? I understand the players loving Wright. The man's killer on specials, and has paid his dues. If a guy like this makes the transition to contributer on offense, that would be a huge plus. He's rubbing up to the right man in Sanchez.

It seemed like Smith and Stuckey alternated playing across from Cotchery, with Clowney seeing some plays in the slot.
