So We Saw A Five Foot Tarpon While Snorkeling Today

Those things are supposed to be some fierce fighters. I havent tried it, but some guys use salt waters fly rods out in he flats to fish for them.

I could not imagine a 5 foot tarpon on a fly rod.

the strange thing was that I didn't freak out and become terrified-I was just kind of amazed b/c I had never seen such a big fish while in the water. We actually were given the heads up by a guy and his wife who were fishing on the beach. After we got out of the water me and my bass player Tim were walking back and I asked the guy "Dude how did you SEE that fish from here?" and he said they saw the fins.

yea ive seen some big fish snorkeling around there also.. biggest was a monster Eagle ray that was just swimming around me. it must of had an easy 6 foot wing spand. it looked like a mini plane swimming through the water.

those are the ones with the white circle/spots right Mick? I've seen one of those once too-so cool to watch them swim, the tips of their wings come out of the water-it almost looks like two sharks

Yeah, it was gorgeous up here in Jax as well. I saw a 5 foot hammer head yesterday when I was in my sea kayak. Those things are bad ass looking...didnt catch **** though.

well we're off to da beach again-my buddy Tim (who works on Palm Beach) just said it's as flat as a pancake out there again today-I need to loosen my legs up, we must have swam 3/4 of a mile yesterday and the wife and I did our usual 5 mile walk this morning-the swimming really helps-oh yea and we found a REAL Italian ice place on Dixie in Lantana-I might imbibe in a small

I saw a barracuda and a stingray today

Snorkeling is one of my favorite things to do, even though I only did it a few times during a week in Aruba. It's just amazing, seeing all the fish and coral reefs.

That's one of several of my nicknames in Highschool, coupled with "Nukeman" and "Elephant C( )ck"
