I havent tried it, but some guys use salt waters fly rods out in he flats to fish for them. I could not imagine a 5 foot tarpon on a fly rod. I could not imagine a 5 foot tarpon on a fly rod. the strange thing was that I didn't freak out and become terrified-I was just kind of amazed b/c I had never seen such a big fish while in the water. We actually were given the heads up by a guy and his wife who were fishing on the beach. After we got out of the water me and my bass player Tim were walking back and I asked the guy "Dude how did you SEE that fish from here?" and he said they saw the fins. Bob
I saw a barracuda and a stingray today Snorkeling is one of my favorite things to do, even though I only did it a few times during a week in Aruba. It's just amazing, seeing all the fish and coral reefs.
