SO... I was with my friend at around 11:30 & we decided to go get McDonald's being the fatasses we are. So we go to the Mickey D's & we get there at around 12ish... there are these 4 black kids just doing stupid **** in front - they were probably 16-17 years old. We paid them little mind. But as we were on line, they stopped this white guy, about 30 years old, and robbed him. WTF. How stupid can you be. It was lunch time at 12:00 PM on a busy avenue in broad daylight. So the cops came no longer than 2 minutes later, one guy at first, and then within about 5 minutes eight cops were there, including two undercover. The kids didn't even make it 2 blocks away before they were caught. They questioned me and my friend & we left a few minutes after that. Quite the crowd had built up by that time. They took the one kid who actually robbed the man, and put him in the police car, I don't know what happened with the other three.

Just wanted to vent this story. Some people :screwy:

The dumb ones make our jobs too easy.

JGB - Glad to hear you have a CCW permit. Every American should.

But really, could you be more stupid than to rob a man on a busy avenue at noon? Tell me you've had dumber criminals.

You see it a lot on the news. They'll be playing a video from the security camera of a robbery and the moron will look right into the camera. Why not hold up a sign with your name & address on it? lol

I was watching cops once, and in a liquor store, two guys finished a robbery, and one of the guys called his fellow partner-in-crime by name, like "Come on Charlie, let's get outta here!" :rl:

Yes, I have as a matter of fact. The case is still active so I can't talk about it really above and beyond the normal press release material. Let's just say calling the pizza place across the street from your motel, to deliver to a vacant home on the opposite side of the Motel, robbing said pizza deliveryman, only to run the 100 feet back to your hotel room to hide and finding a "boot" on the door handle because you hadn't paid your bill, and standing right outside said room when the Police (whose station is 1/4 of a mile to the immediate West) roll up a minute later.

not exactly easy to get one of these.........our rights to bear arms have been severely hampered. of course they make these laws to supposedly curb criminals from getting their hands on guns. but funny hting is that these people mostly get their guns illegally ayway. it's the citizens who just want to try to exercise their supposed right who are affected.

And that's why I have a CC permit.

your one of the lucky ones. Theres a snowballs chance in july that a NJ resident gets a CCW permit. The only chance to get one and the process im going through now is an out of state permit from either florida or utah that is honored in something like 32 states.

unless you're a retired police officer....they can get a NJ CCW rather easily. i've heard that joining the NRA helps you get firearms IDs and such.

idk if its true that the being a member of the NRA helps with your ID im a life member and it still took me 90 days which is 60 days longer then its supposed to. The only thing that being a member might help is if you decide to challenge how long it takes then the NRA will defend you in court.

Well if I ever turn to a life of crime I know where to move for a unarmed, target-rich environment.

I wonder how those draconian drug laws are doing at stopping wise guys from packing?
