New York Mick
A lot of the posters on here have good taste in music (other then Blackout) so I figured I'd do this again. I did this last year on JI and a lot of good bands were made up as well as a few that made no God damn sense what so ever. I'm not going to make a contest out of this years, I just want to see what poster come up with. Sounds like you've read Hammer of the Gods as well. Pinnick is a mostly unsung (no pun intended ) artist. Peter Grant was just a complete madman. I can't imagine having to negotiate with him, or the unenviable task of telling him something had gone wrong.

Drawn to the the same exact position, and the same exact problems. Entwistle doesn't get enough credit. There weren't many people playing bass like a lead instrument until he came along. It simply was thoguht of as part of the bass section keeping time.

I think John's nickname was The Ox. Anyway, he was great. When all hell broke loose onstage with Townsend and Moon's insanity, John would keep it goin'. I still love the lyrics to My Wife That's correct, Doug. I saw his band--Entwistle's Ox--at the Beacon Theater (I think, but the years cloud my memory) back in the 70s. I was a garage band bass player in those days and always wanted to sound like Entwistle and Squire. I could never afford the stereo Rikenbacker, but always had Rotosound strings on my Precision. gg
now i dont know if others did this.. but my "band" would be people that given their styles, might not groove together perfectly. would you change your band if they actually had to play together? I know that given the quality of musicians, they probably could compromise and come up with something interesting.. but i am not sure i would pick that exact group. does that make sense?
