MagicBizkit87
Free agency is starting on the first, so I wanted to make a list of the top free agents and where you guys think they may land? I didn't put Kobe, because I think it's pretty obvious he's not going anywhere. Carlos Boozer Allen Iverson Hedo Turkoglu Mike Bibby Ben Gordon Brandon Bass Jason Kidd Chris Andersen Antonio McDyess Rasheed Wallace Ron Artest Trevor Ariza Lamar Odom David Lee Nate Robinson Marcin Gortat Andre Miller Grant Hill Shawn Marion I'll post my predicitions in a second... edit: Also... let me know if I missed anybody... MagicBizkit87
Odom will be gone. Ariza will stay. IMO I think Hedo goes to Portland. Thats exactly what I've been thinking, and I think Boozer is most likely a lock for Detroit, and as you can see from my signature I think one of Sheed, or Bass will be in a Magic jersey soon. MagicBizkit87
Lee & Robinson are RFA's. I know, but I think it's pretty obvious that the Knicks are only going to bring back one of those 2, and get something back for the other, because they want to be able to afford Lebron in next years offseason. I personally think Lee will be back, Nate is a goner, and they'll look to sign either Bibby, or Kidd for a one year thing.
Ghost
The Lakers traded the 1st round pick to money to re-sign both Odom and Ariza. I can see both players taking less money to stay with the Lakers.

That would be the best case scenario for the Knickerbockers, however I think the opposite will happen.

Ghost
Would you agree that if they had to pick one to keep, it would be Ariza? Without question. Ariza defended Carmelo and he shut down Hedo Turkoglu. Not to mention that big 3s this guy hit this year. As much as I love Odom, he just doesn't show up in every game. If Odom is gone, then look for the Lakers to pursue another player that will take less money to play for a contender.

MagicBizkit87
I'm sort of hoping the Magic get obviously either Rasheed Wallace, or Brandon Bass, and we decide to bring back Marcin Gortat as well. Then maybe we could still use to Vet Min. on someone as well. Am I dreaming of any of that stuff happening? lol

Unfortunately. They'll resign the midget.

So where does David Lee go then? He may be someone for a lot of teams to look at considering he beat Dwight out at the double-doubles stat. Overall I just think he's a good rebounder, and David Lee doesn't really know the definition of defense though.

MagicBizkit87
I wonder if Boston does anything, because ESPN (The Media), thinks both the Magic, and Cavaliers are far ahead of them now, even with Boston getting Kevin Garnett back. I think I heard somewhere that they're Orlando's competition to get Rasheed Wallace, but I also heard that Rasheed Wallace doesn't want to go to Boston, and that Rasheed is only looking at the Spurs, and Magic. Vicious89x
I think Andre Miller comes to Portland. They need a guy who is a true point that can defend. I'd like Hedo here, but can see Pritchard wanting to still make sure that BRoy has the ball in his hands. I can see that if Hedo came here, the ball would be less in Roys hands. Steve Blake sucks and Bayless is exciting but a total project and turnover machine. I'd also like to see David Lee traded to the Blazers and we send over Travis Outlaw and some other compensations, money, picks, or an expiring contract. I could see Outlaw working nicely in that system to be honest. Dont' think it'll happen though.

MagicBizkit87
With David Lee basically officially leaving now, the Knicks and Gortat are probably going to be together soon. For the Knicks fans that want to know about him, let me just say defensively he is amazing. When Dwight had to take a break, we didn't really lose anything defensively when Gortat came in. He also can shoot about an 8 foot jumper, which is something Dwight can't do.

Knick fans like myself know that we need Defense more than anything at this point, besides a Point Guard. But the key here is if he will be willing to leave Orlando, a Top 3 team in the East, for the Knicks, a rebuilder. I will miss Lee. I will continue to say drafting the kid from Arizona and letting Lee walk is a HUGE mistake. We shall see in time.

MagicBizkit87
Also honestly if you ask me, Marcin Gortat is better at defense then Dwight Howard is. I know I will take a lot of heat for that, but Dwight Howard only won the defensive player of the year because he led the league in rebounds, and blocks. 124
BTW, anyone else surprised that Carlos Boozer is exercising his option to remain with Utah for 1 more year? I mean I know its $12.7 million guarenteed, but he probably could've gotten more guarenteed out there, he was arguably the best available player.
