Looks like Wang is headed for the DL with a shoulder injury. According to Pete Abraham (Journal-News beat writer), Wang should be back within a month. He also reports that the Yankees might bring up Sergio Mitre from SWB to take Wang's place in the rotation.

Not Hughes?

Not Hughes?

I don't think they want to start Hughes because he's been pitching these one-two inning stints and would need to be stretched out in order to start. Besides, he's been great in the bullpen and taking him out leaves a huge hole.

If it ends up that Wang is out for longer than a month maybe they would consider putting Hughes in the rotation. If it's what they are saying, 1 month, they'll gamble with Mitre. He can't be worse than Wang was anyway.

He keeps that up, he won't get out of the 4th inning.

It's a common occurrence when he pitches. Its really annoying. It takes way too many pitches to get batters out.
