They're going to test it out in one store. This could turn out to be real bad.

What a stupid name, "15th Avenue Coffee and Tea inspired by Starbucks," people just don't know how branding works. The old model of line extensions all over the place under one brand just doesn't work, so why come up with a lame and cumbersome 41 character 8 word name, especially one that evokes the same image of another coffee shop and in no way alludes to it as an establishment that sells alcohol.

Silly. Starbucks coffee is over-priced and most of it tastes like baby pooh. I can just imagine what they will charge for an alcoholic beverage. If you want a glass of wine, go to a bar. If you want a good coffee and a glass of wine, go to a higher end bar. If you want one of those funky beers like" Sacramento Steve- a nutty bean red oak amber beer." go to a brewery. They have coffee too - and probably the folk, or bad jazz, music Starbucks plays. This is silly.

Agreed. Let's face it, Starbucks has peaked. This alcohol move reeks of desperation.

Eventually Dunkin' Donuts will have to do it.

I honestly don't think so EMan. Dunkin is targeting a different market. The value priced, quick in, quick out buyer. They are expanding and , I think, have no need for cheap tricks to try to lure people in.
