What is more annoying, the habitual complainers or the posts they are complaining about?

Lol, sorry for stirring the pot max, but this was a rep quote that i thought was interesting. Besides, it should be good for a nice high post count, hahaha.

So i ask you JN, what is more annoying to you on the board, the "seemingly habitual offensive posters" or the posters who like to police the board and habitually complain about things being offensive.

We have to get to the root of the cancer before we can be healed people!

oh, and ibtl (can i do that in the first post of the thread?)

I find the people who bitch and then go on to do similar things quite annoying. People who start breaking balls and then all bitchy when their balls are broken themselves. That is what annoys me.

Agreed. The only thing I don't like is people who seem to just post nothing but negativity and are incapable of truly having a discussion with someone else because they consider what they believe to be the end all of truths.

If this wasn't the "lets play but not keep score" messageboard. We could let people knoe that we think they do this so they can take steps to limit that kind of behavior in the future.

There is nothing wrong with either. The problem starts when people get defensive and start attacking each other.

Complainers do bother me since they always want to tell you what is right or wrong and want people to meet their standard instead of just ignoring it. I dont see the point in complaining about it. Its not going to change my mind, and will lead to a fight, so why bother.

The offensive posters do need to be kept in check though. People need to know where the line is and why it shouldnt be crossed. To me, I dont think there should be a line. The only stuff people should be getting banned for it personal attacks and nonsensical thread starting and posting.

A message board is a difficult community to deal with. When not kept in check, it breaks down into anarchy. When controlled tightly, its too restrictive and unenjoyable.

Max has a tough line to work... keep it free and light while avoiding too much control. Unfortunately many posters have been here for so long, they have grown tired of each other's opinion and now it just denigrates into bickering and fighting instead of discussion and debate. And that cant be changed by Max or a mod. That change has to come from the posters themselves to avoid attacking a person. They need to step back before it gets out of control.

I think it's annoying that Jet fans who are excited about our potential franchise QB while being confident about our Defense with Rex Ryan calling the shots, confident about our top 5 O-Line, confident about our 3-Headed rushing attack, confident about our elite pass catching TE along with WR's who can make plays such as Cotchery and Stuckey...I find it funny how these types of Jet fans are considered to be "Homers" after winning 9 games last year but those same negative Jet fans...Are negative 24/7 because we "Lack" O-Line and D-Line "Depth" or that we have a rookie QB without an Elite #1 WR...

But yet, those same negative Jet fans who bash every positive thought from Jet fans that are ACTUALLY excited about this team will NEVER talk about the positives about this Jets team.

Rookie QB (A talented one)

Lack of O-Line depth

Lack of D-Line depth

No true #1 WR

No experience @ the #2 and Slot WR positions

Rooke head coach (Rex Ryan is FAR from a rookie)

Are the ONLY things negative Jet fans that predicted us to be a 3-13, 5-11 type of team talk about...Thats it. Thats ALL they talk about, but yet...Bash any fan who agrees to disagree

You know what positive Jet fans talk about?

-Talented rookie QB in Mark Sanchez who has the potential to be our next Franchise QB

-The addition of the Nations #1 ranked college RB in Shonn Greene

-An elite pass catching TE in Dustin Keller-He was also ranked as the Nations #1 pass catching TE coming out of college

-A top 5 overall O-Line that made sure our rushing attack ranked #5 in aerage yards per carry last year. Top 10 Franchise LT in Ferguson, one of the best run blocking LG's in the game today in Alan Faneca who's only 32 years of age along with a top 5 center in Nick Mangold...All makes for a top 5 overall O-Line with the help from Moore and Woody.

-A top 5 Safety in Kerry Rhodes. Reed, Troy, Wilson, Rhodes and Sanders are all considered top 5 Safetys.

-A top 5 CB in Darrell Revis...He's ranked top 5 by just about every NFL expert, fan of the game.

-Bart Scott was ONE hell of an addition and one hell of an upgrade over Eric Barton. Bart Scott is one of the toughest LB's around, he's known as one of the best overall tacklers around and he's also known as one of the best MLB's when it comes to pass coverage.

-Lito Sheppard has always been known as one of the best cover corners around (When healthy). Just ask T.O on his thoughts on Sheppard...Owens has been OWNED by Sheppard over the years. All in all, a CB in Sheppard who's only 28 years of age is a HUGE upgrade over a 35 year old Ty Law who couldn't make a play to save his NFL Career last year...He did NOTHING for our Secondary, other than get beat every other play.

-Jim Leonhard...May not be GREAT, but he's still solid. He can wrap up and tackle, he's know to be solid against the pass and overall...He's a great upgrade over Abram Elam who couldn't play the pass to save his life and thats because he was "Lost and Confused" out in pass coverage.

-Patriots have Wilfork, Steelers have Hampton, Redskins have Haynesworth, Chargers have Williams and guess what? The Jets have Kris Jenkins...A top 5 DT/NT and EVERY team who has an elite 3-4 Defense...Has an elite NT and I'm excited that the Jets now have one. I bet all those fans who HATED Robertson as our 3-4 NT...Never even talk about Kris Jenkins these days, I wonder why?

-Leon Washington makes for one of the best kick returners in the game today...Explosive. Jim Leonhard is also a solid Punt Returner.

-Revis, Sheppard, Lowery, Rhodes and Leonard should make for a tough secondary and if anything...We WONT be ranked 29th here in 2009 because we got rid of two bums when it came to playing the pass (Law and Elam)

I can go on and on...

But yet... Negative Jet fans talk about 5 or 6 thing...But will NEVER talk about anything else.

I think it's annoying when Jet fans are excited after a 9-7 season are getting attacked by Negative Jet fans who blame anything and everything bad in life on the "Jets" because they havn't won since 1968. I think it's annoying When Jets fans are pumped up but Negative nancys or "Realist" attack us with words such as "Homer" or this and that just because they feel different...Thats when it gets annoying

Bart Scott-David Harris-Kris Jenkins can be one of the best Triple-Combo's against the run here in 2009...Good luck running on these guys.

Revis and Sheppard can make for one of the best 1-2 punches at the CB position here in 2009...With a Rex Ryan type of blitz from all different types of angles...These two can both have over 8 int's a piece
