JetNation
CC Sabathia beat All-Star Justin Verlander in a prime pitching matchup that lived up to its billing, and Alex Rodriguez's pop-fly homer sent the New York Yankees to a 2-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. Otter
Improbable? The headline maker must think it is shocking that a home run hitter hit a home run in a home run ballpark.

Especially one on steroids. Just kidding. Just another Red Sox fan pretending to be a sports writer.

AFJF
Improbable because of how few hr's arod hits. Well he hits tons of them so that's not what makes it improbable. I think what made it improbable is that the outcome was still in doubt.

PS17
Improbable because it came off the tough Justin Verlander in a scoreless pitchers' duel. And A-Rod being clutch is improbable as well. That's how I interpreted it.

talisaynon
Especially one on steroids. Just kidding. Just another Red Sox fan pretending to be a sports writer. Everett's throw appeared to beat Cabrera by the slimmest margin, but he was called safe by first base umpire Jeff Nelson. Cabrera clapped his hands as Cano scored, putting New York ahead 2-0. After that quote, either that or a Tigers fan. The throw did not beat out Melky, this ******* shouldnt hide behind "CBSSports.com wire reports " and should man up and take credit for the excrement he wrote online.
