Hughes is a starting caliber pitcher, he should be able to go out there for two innings no sweat.

Brian Bruney has sucked ever since he got injured.

This was a good homestand. Kinda hard to complain at all about 9-1, and the one loss was basically due to 1 bad inning by Aceves.

We have 2 months of what looks like a horserace to the finish. Girardi isn't wearing the bullpen out, which was Torre's greatest fault his last few years. Scott Proctor, Tanyon Sturtze and Steve Karsay are applauding, if only long enough to take the icepacks off their pitching arms.

And when you say "New York Yankees", remember, it's "AL East-leading New York Yankees".

Homie, Hughes was at 40 pitches and was tiring- Eiland and Girardi saw that and brought Bruney in. I have no problem with that move.
