Otter
Good job Bruney. Hopefully that K gives him some confidence that he can pitch in a big pressure spot.
MagicBizkit87
Who knows if Bruney can finish this inning, maybe this could return him to how he was before the injury. Maybe it could give him some confidence. Basically it's a huge maybe though. edit: well they're bringing in Mo right now....
Bugg
Hughes is a starting caliber pitcher, he should be able to go out there for two innings no sweat. Brian Bruney has sucked ever since he got injured. This was a good homestand. Kinda hard to complain at all about 9-1, and the one loss was basically due to 1 bad inning by Aceves. We have 2 months of what looks like a horserace to the finish. Girardi isn't wearing the bullpen out, which was Torre's greatest fault his last few years. Scott Proctor, Tanyon Sturtze and Steve Karsay are applauding, if only long enough to take the icepacks off their pitching arms. And when you say "New York Yankees", remember, it's "AL East-leading New York Yankees".
