I still don't see why Girardi hates Mark Melancon. He is just as good as Phil Coke, but not as good as Rivera, Aceves, or Hughes, and way better then Albaladejo, or David Robertson. Why not let this guy pitch, he deserves the chance way more then those other 2 worthless pieces of crap.

I don't understand it either. Why have him even up here if he is only going to pitch once every two weeks.

Agreed. He should be getting regular innings in AAA if they're not going to use him up here. He's definitely better than Albaladejo, and I think they just need to give him some time before he puts it all together. He's been dominant in AAA this year.

Terrible defensive performance tonight. One game though. The big picture is they're still 10-2 since the break. If they win tomorrow they'll still have done their job for this series.

Joba's making me look like an idiot for saying that he should be in the bullpen. Great job tonight so far.

He's dealing tonight, meanwhile the Sox are getting the snot beat out of them.

This is probably the best start he has ever had. It makes such a difference when he works quickly.

He had an amazing start in Detroit earlier this year that was somewhat comparable to this one. Either way, great job tonight by the kid.
