Given the premise, I don't know how else you'd judge him.

by more than 2 freakin' starts lol

Yankees have the best line-up in the majors, imo.

yes we do

Jeter-Damon-Tex-Arod-Matsui-Jorge-Cano-Swisher-Melky

there's no easy out in there....even Melky and Swishaliscous are producing.

and Brett Gardner can steal some bases...not much of a hitter though.

I've noticed. Line up isn't as long with Bay out, that's for sure. Ortiz is awful. We could hide Tek in the lineup if everyone else was hitting well. They are not.

jason bay in the last 121 at-bats: .190/.344/.306 5 doubles 3 HR 42 K

bay missing is irrelevant

btw

while Bay is hitting .190, A-rod in HIS last 121 at -bats is hitting .289

lets not randomy throw Arod into the arguement here Carl because that's just crazy.

A-Rod is hitting .289 in his last 121 ABs?

Let's throw him a ****ing parade!!

How long had A-Rod gone without hitting a home run before Friday night? Sox - Yanks brings out the best in players more often than not. Especially in that park.

shut up thor

Your 28 million dollar third baseman is hitting .289 over his last 121 ABs.

He should be proud.

how's Mike Lowell doing this year???

He's hitting .296 with 11 home runs. And a bad hip.

A-Rod is hitting .258 with 20 home runs. And a bad hip. Oh, and he's making 20.5 million more than Lowell.

lowell ops+ 106

arod's OPS+? 133 plus 8 SB's

i'll take Arod any day

arod: .258/.387/.505, 20 HR, 62 RBI, 8 SB, 1 CS, 55 BB/61K, 133 OPS+

lowell: .296/.336/.478, 11 HR, 54 RBI, 0 SB, 1 CS, 20 BB/39 K, 106 OPS+

clearly A-rod is better than Lowell

I am not feeling it tonight with Andy

6 shutout innings so far

I do. He's got dynamite stuff. he's going to be a good one. Lead in the 8th inning though you have to go with Okajima. Plain and simple.

This is simply deflating.

how about that A-rod home run earlier????

So based on the logic around here Johnny Damon must be on steroids. Am I right?

SOUR GRAPES SOUR GRAPES

was he reportedly on the 2003 list with a recent rehearsed press conference?

Mariano time

That is really the biggest thing. Ortiz is a different hitter at this point and without Manny -- well there is nothing to scare you in that lineup. The Sox not getting Tex this offseason really was a pretty big deal.

The Sox used to be scary, that just isn't the case right now. Totally different team (not complaining about that).

IF ANYTHING, Ortiz needs to be battign 3rd with Victor Martinez 4th, and Bay 5th. and youk 6th. giving Ortiz supreme protection
