No Bay for at least the first two games of the series. He re-aggravated his hamstring in last night's game.

Nice job getting out of that jam. As always the Sox are making him throw alot of pitches.

Zone's a bit high tonight. Interesting.

I noticed that too, but he isn't calling anything off the plate.

Hopefully we can start teeing off on Smoltz this inning.

We have a bunch of lefties coming up, so maybe we can make a move here.

WTF was Posada thinking. Slide *******.

My mother is faster than him.

I wonder if Melky was telling him to slide?

This sequence pretty much sums up the Yankees-Red Sox season series so far. Stupidity by the Yankees and the Red Sox coming up clutch.

Got out of another jam. Unfortunately I don't think Joba is going to make it to the sixth with his pitch count.

Not surprised that a former Angel just hit that home run.

Thank you for not bunting there. Big home run by Melky.

Smoltz needs to be bannished to the pen. Enough.

Maybe when Byrd is ready. When is Dice coming back?

Forgot about Wakefield. I'm guessing that Smoltz will go to the pen when he comes back

Forgot about Wake

Dice is a month away. Wakes isn't close. Byrd won't ready until September. Bring up Bowden and let him pitch. Done and done.

Yeah, bringing up Bowden is probably the best option until they get one of those guys back. Smoltz looks like he's done.

Well... that makes up for the stupid baserunning play in the second.

Memo to Joba...

Throw strikes, you have a six run lead. Please don't walk these guys.

He's about to let the Sox back into the game.

Joba really made it difficult on himself tonight. I'm guessing that he is done now.

Nice job hitting by Matsui. Terrible throw home by Nick Green.

I'd like to get out of this game using Robertson, Malancon, and Bruney

Yes. Hughes isn't available anyway and if Mo has to pitch in this game I'll throw up.

Does Girardi really need to bring Coke in here with an 7 run lead? Let Robertson finish the inning.

Yankees just traded for Padres RHP Chad Gaudin. Don't know much about him.

Ramiro Pena has been recalled from SWB, Claggett was sent down. Gaudin will join the team on Sunday. Not sure who he'll replace on the roster.

Both pitchers are bringing it tonight. This is my favorite type of ballgame.

The Red Sox are better off sitting Ortiz and having VMart DH, Youk at first, Varitek catching and Lowell at third.

Tremendous outing by AJ

Now lets give him a little support

AJ's been great tonight. Maybe the lefties coming up can get to Beckett.

I'd have Hairston running for Matsui right now.

Yes. I wish Girardi had considered that.

Best game AJ's pitched as a Yankee. Too many walks though.

Hopefully Hughes steps up here.
