Brett Favre Is A Viking: MERGED

Brett Farve can go F himself

I mean lets face it. He had no interest being here. He was here was only going to play here because the Jets were stupid enough to trade for him.

And I never want to hear about him being hurt towards the end of the year either. He was still throwing rockets. Only problem was most of them ended up going the other way.

He is turning into the Roger Clemens of the NFL, wanting special perks like Clemens with his not going on road trips when he was with the Astros.

Favre was a complete and unmitigated disaster here. He showed ZERO leaderhip skill at a time when this team was in dire need of someone to step up.

I honestly hope this guy goes out and has a David Carr type year.

Woody Johnson wanted him just for one thing.

He's thrown 21 TDs over the last two seasons, and he's started 10 games over that time period.

In games started by Rosenfels, the Texans have scored the following point totals:

You do realize he's not throwing to Andre Johnson anymore right? Yeah, lets see how he performs with Sidney ****ing Rice as his receiver.

Without Andre Johnson, he came in relief of Schaub and proceeded to throw for 290 yards and 4 TDs, rallying the team from a 32-7 deficit to actually take the lead before the defense blew it. WITHOUT ANDRE JOHNSON.

He's a turnover machine, but HE PUTS POINTS ON THE SCOREBOARD.

Sage Rosenfels' 2008 stats:

1431 Passing yards - 6 Touchdowns - 10 Interceptions - He fumbled 11 times last year.

Good point. He will definitely lead the Vikings to the SB. I agree..

Never said **** about him leading the Vikings to the Super Bowl.

Just that he has shown enough in relief over the years and deserves to have a chance at a starting job.

There were alot of Phins fans who echoed those sentiments a few years back, including myself. Sage was/is just a very inconsistent QB, which was why he never took control of a starting job.

How would you feel if you were one of the Vikings QB- they have shown no confidence in any of those guys with this Favre scenerio.

Jackson's been given several chances and he hasn't nailed the job yet. He was the last player chosen on the second round. Unlike first round QB picks who are carefully groomed to take over, late second round picks usually get one or two chances to win the job. If they don't do it then, they're usually gone.

Rosenfels so far has been a career backup and John David Booty was not that highly rated coming out of college, even though he played for a great school.

In short, unless you believe Jackson still might have something in him, Minnesota's QB situation was a mess. The fact that they did not try to improve it in the offseason indicates that they were waiting for Favre all along.

They traded a fourth round pick for Rosenfels after the season.

Something about his demeanor & tone is off. He sounds somber or something.

What a POS. Really. When someone asked him about how he feels about what Jets and Packers fans are thinking his response was something like, "What can I say, this is America". So basically, his answer was "Oh well, tough sh!t". I'm not expecting any apologies as a Jets fan but geez.. you played for the Packers for over a decade, you'd think he'd have a little compasion for the fans.

I hope he gets Laid Out on the first series and blows out his arm. Then continues playing horrible football completely ruining the Vikings chances to contend so he can keep his F***ing streak alive. This guy is a pile of selfish **** 25 Mil for a 4o year old QB is just as stupid as what we did least year

He won one SB with a great team the rest of his career was Choke City year after year. Plenty of QB's throughout the histroy of this game this guy is not even in the same league with .

I look forward to watching Favre play. Who cares how many times he changed his mind. It's his right to do so. If he can get 10-12 mil for playng another yr more power to him imo.

I agree with you but all that Favre drama I can do without.

This said I rather have Jets QB situation then the Vikings. I do not mean statistically but from a stability stand point.

As a resident semi-packer fan...i can't agree more. Desmond Howard put the Packers on his back in 96 and every other super bowl or playoff game after that Favre tried giving it away. Ended these games (from memory, i may miss one) in INT's in the playoffs.

49ers -01

Rams - 6 Int's in this one

Eagles (famous 4th and 26 game)

Giants - 07

I hate this guy. He had a ton of good Packer teams; partly for him and partly for their D and offensive line...he screwed them all....each time except for 96. Thanks Desmond.

I hope all the people that wish pain on misery on Favre, get some themselves. Are you people serious? Its not all his fault the media jams this down our throats. Are you that mad at the guy?

When it comes down to it, he's just a man who wants to do what he loves. All he's known is football, and he's an upgrade for the Vikings. So whats the problem here?

Honorary Douchebag of the Month: Brett Favre

Favre-708288.jpg

If we define the douchebag as the preening narcissist who turns himself into a spectacle to attract attention, than who better to earn an honorary Douchebag of the Month than the clown prince of football, Brett Favre?

This oafish yoyo has come out of retirement yet again, simply to see headlines about himself coming out of retirement yet again.

Whether you're a fan of football or not, this self-important preening narcissist spends the better part of each year making sure his ass is suitably kissed by football fans, talk show hosts and media the world over.

He has retired and unretired more times than a porn star late on car payments, proving not only that his massive ego needs constant placation, but that the sport itself is secondary to the desire to see his name endlessly trumpeted on TV and radio.

Since personifying the faux-humble jockbag that Mary dated in There's Something About Mary in 1998, Favre hasn't just forced us to reverse the "r" and "v" when we pronounce his name. He's forced us to pay attention to his unquenchable need to be talked about. Constantly. To have the world kiss his ass on a yearly basis with "will he or won't he" stories for almost a decade straight.

"Attention Whore" doesn't begin to cover it. He makes Perez Hilton look like J.D. Salinger.

Suck it, Favre. You lead the douche league in interceptions, stubbley chin hair and self worship. Even when your father died, you turned it into a spectacle about yourself playing a freaking game rather than mourning with your family. This makes you a massive pile of douche water.

Take your Levis and your chin hair and your false small-town good ole' boy performances and stuff 'em up your ass. The fact I have to listen to another year about your sorry ass "retiring" makes me want to throw an interception made out of monkey feces and spittle.

Get the hell off my teevee and never come back.

That's about a half million dollars per INT. This Zigmund Wilf, builder of fancy man shopping malls, is apparently unaware of this recession thingie.Good to have money-to piss away like this. When it's all said and done Brad Childress figures to find out about it around Janaury 1st, 2010.

If I, Zigmund Wilf, Millionaire! am gonna spend that much money on a 40-year old, it will be named Elle McPherson.

Since Favre had a year left on his contract will the Jets get anything as far as compensation from the Vikings?

Jets released him. Which was pretty much the writing on the wall, when he asked to be released who didn't think he'd play this year?

They released him??? ](*,)](*,)](*,)

That I didn't know.

So the scumbag really did use the Jets as a stepping stone so he could play with a team who's in the same division as the Packers.

I can't wait to see the Packers whip his ass 2 times this season!!
