Joe in the YES postgame:

"He got his ring finger dinged again. He did it a couple of weeks ago ... X-rays were negative. He's sore, but he's going to be day to day."

(He was scheduled to sit out tomorrow anyway, day game after a night game.)

Good news, it does not sound serious!

Today's lineup. I was surprised to see Melky's average since Gardner went of the DL is .209. I thought it was worse.

YANKEES (79-47)

Jeter SS

Damon LF

Teixeira 1B

Rodriguez 3B

Matsui DH

Swisher RF

Cano 2B

Cabrera CF

Molina C

Pitching: RHP A.J. Burnett (10-7, 4.08).

RANGERS (70-55)

Lineup TBA

Pitching: RHP Dustin Nippert (4-2, 3.95).

Taking Georgie out of the lineup hurts

Jorge is day-to-day with the finger injury. He probably wouldn't have played today anyway with it being a day game after a night game.

I'm interested in seeing how Burnett does today pitching to Molina. Maybe it will get him back on track.

AJ just needs to stop thinking too much, and just pitch. He has all the talent any pitcher could ask for. Just get that curve over at the corners, and he will be fine.

It is not a Posada vs. Molina thing. In AJ's case, it is a mental thing.

The Yankees are leaving runners all over the bases today. Reminds of last game Burnett started.

Glad Tazawa's luck ran out

8 runs in 2.2 innings

8-0 Southsiders

Still can't believe you are rocking the Northeastern logo in your avatar. Too bad they suck dick.

From what Thor says, that's your forte

Actually, you both are really good at it.

We might have to have a contest to decide once and for all.
