Three Team Deal Possibly in the Works

Do not get offended Brandon Marshall.

Rumor has it via Scout.com's Kansas City Chiefs and Arizona Cardinals affiliates that star wide receivers Anquan Boldin and Brandon Marshall could be on the move via a three-way trade between the Chiefs, Cardinals, and Broncos.

I was notified by fellow Broncos writer Randy Garcia that the proposed trade would be roughly as follows:

This deal makes no sense at all for Arizona. Boldin wants a big money deal, and isn't a headcase. Brandon Marshall wants a big money deal and is a headcase. If you are going to give one of the 2 a big money deal, you give it to Boldin. If you aren't you've gone from having a receiver who plays like an animal when he's unhappy to having Brandon Marshall temper tantrums. Why in the world would you make that deal even if it was one for one, Marshall for Boldin - never mind throwing in Leinart for Thigpen?

You're missing the part where Arizona turns around and deals Marshall to us for our 2010, 2011, and 2012 1st round draft picks.

I often wonder how many times teams see stuff on a forum and then start thinking about it.
Not only that but the media too.

So many times I hear guys say stuff they read here, especially on SNY.

Greg Buttle used D-Rex on Jets Nation this week, that was being posted here the day we signed him.

so the cards give up leinart and boldin for marshall, and the broncos just give boldin to the chiefs? Or the cards give boldin away for free? yeah i see this happening

the funny part is the only reason to trade boldin is to avoid paying him, but marshall would want a new deal too, so you'd be getting a lesser player and still have to give up a big deal

lol

This is exactly why the trade makes little sense and almost certainly won't happen, let alone the fact that 3 team deals rarely happen in the NFL.

+ 1

There is no logic behind this trade.

dude, when have you seen a three way trade in the nfl???? This isn't basketball. Not saying it wouldn't be a idea for any of those teams though.

Which NFL team do you follow again? lol

March 2006:

- Jets give up John Abraham, get Broncos 2006 pick #29 overall

- Broncos give up 2006 pick #29, 2006 3rd rounder, 2007 4th rounder; get Falcons 2006 pick #15 overall

- Falcons give up 2006 pick #15 overall, get John Abraham, Broncos 2006 3rd rounder, Broncos 2007 4th rounder

;)
