What up Jets fans, i've missed you so..

Here we are 7 days for yet another Dolphins/Jets historic battle, no place more fitting than under the lights of Monday Night.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't like this match up for us. Here's why,

Both the Dolphins and the Jets rely on a heavy rushing attack while at the same time stopping the run of the opponent.

The thing that catches my eye, is that the Dolphins do it better.

The Dolphins lead the league in rushing with 183.5 yards per game on a 5.0 ypc avg with the Jets ranked 9 spots lower with a 130.5 yard per game average and 4.0 ypc

On the flip side the Dolphins post the #2 rush defense in the league, with an impressive 2.9 ypc average and surrender just 61 yards per game, while the Jets are only the 13th rushing defense they surrender 4.2 yards per carry.

So suffice it to say we have shown the better rushing offense and defense so far despite records. We do what you like to do to win games, and we do it better.

Here's to another epic Monday Night.

Thank you captain obvious. Unfortunately a better record doesn't mean 'win' especially not in a divisional match up. The Dolphins have played predominantly passing offenses, and it's not secret that our pass defense has looked like a joke. You too have played passing offenses, but your pass defense is MUCH better than ours. So, you were able to do what we hoped to do so far this season.

Fortunately this will be a battle of the running games, hence the reason I like this match up. Any other brain busters buddy?

Man, one win and they all come out the woodwork.

GO TO HELL!

I 'come out of the woodwork' to discuss the game. If you haven't guessed i'm not a Jets fan. But if you guys really want me here more than just on Dolphins week I may be able to grant that request. :)

So do you guys.. like, talk football on here or just cast barbs at Dolfans. Even that, I gotta tell ya, i'm not impressed with your performance.

There will be more NY fans than Miami fans (Miami fans? mutually exclusive words.) at your sh!thole baseball stadium on Monday. Wait and see.

Why is that?

What is it like 1-10 against us lately?

Better hope Calvin Pace doesnt rip Henne's arm off and club him with it.:)

You seem to forget the most important stats of them all.

The Jets are averaging 18.5 points per game.

The Dolphins defense allows 19.8 points per game.

The Dolphins are averaging 20.2 points per game.

The Jets defense allows only 14.2 points per game. (mind you, this is quite off given that Pick 6's are equated in this stat for some awful reason. in all actuality the Jets allow maybe about 9 to 10 points a game).

The dolphins are going to lose this game okay.

I only have 1 question...Have you seen the JETS defense?

Your 2nd yr QB will be lucky to break 100 yds. Your best reciever is Bess. Im pretty sure he wont be much of a challenge for the BEST CB IN THE NFL!

You come to a Jets forum and expect not to get flammed especially with the loggin "DrownTheJets", come one now? Your a long distance away from finhaven. If you cant understand that then dont bother posting on another teams forum. So you have one of two choices;

1. Take the flamming like a man, and stfu about it,

2. Stick your fist in your mouth and dont post at all,

After you pick one of the two choices, watch the game monday night, and watch our defense treat your offense like a blowup doll in a gang bang porno.

I'm pretty sure it doesnt matter what you pick cause I'll doubt we'll see you again past 11pm Monday night.

Should be really, really interesting to see what Rex does to Chad II. We already know he can call a game against the single wing, so that's not much of an issue. Good chance this game ends up a 13-10 Jets win.

this is a pretty bad attempt at masking faboy homerism as legit unbiased analysis.

And historic? There hasn't been any dolphins game against us or anyone for that matter that could be remotely called historic in quite a long time. Bart Scott and Calvin Pace will be fitting Chad #2 with an arm sling matching Chad#1. Fool yourself all you want, I can't wait for the first of 2 Miami slaughters this season.

This thread has matched my expectations. When I saw the thread title and the first post (nice analysis drownthejets) I just knew this thread was gonna turn into a pissing match laced with homosexual innuendo directed towards posters from an opposing team.

Thanks for not letting me down guys.

I wouldn't say those are the most important stats. Because you have to consider the competition. The Jets allow so few points on pass oriented offenses. Good teams yes, but you haven't faced many strong running games. In other words your run defense has a huge test coming up. The Jets are really good in pass defense, but the Dolphins aren't much of a throwing team anyway so that's kind of a moot point.

Of course, i'm not declaring the Dolphins will beat the Jets, I never take any game as a given, especially not when my team has one win, but I do like this match up and I think I made a pretty good case for why, as opposed to the other teams we've faced besides the Jills.
