CrazyCarl40
Not many teams can lose game one and then trot out of the best post season pitchers of all time in game 2. Sox need a win and a split and all will be forgotten last night.
JonEJet
Beckett trotting out with a back probem has disaster written all over it Especially if Tek catches......the Angels may steal 10 bases

PFSIKH
What's Beckets ERA over his last 10 games? 6? Something like that. Just what the Sox need. Beckett and a bad back. The Sox have been a flawed team all season. They could win, but every aspect of their game has some bad tendencies.
JonEJet
In all seriousness...I fully expect Becks to pitch lights out BUT It's what Varitek does behind the dish that will tell you who wins or loses

I beleive the ANgels were among the league leaders in stolen bases. I hope VMart catching Becks in one of his last starts was so they can get used to each other. Boston needs a young catcher. PS17
I hope Boston wins tonight. I really don't wanna see the Angels advance. They bore me to tears & they own us in the postseason.
CrazyCarl40
Nice little pitchers duel going on. Sox need a split here and get home where they play and hit much better.

talisaynon
How Beckett lasted that long was more a function of how much the Angels suck rather than how good he was..that fastball was sitting 92-93 all night.

Yeah, it is never a by product of the Sox player. Only how bad the other team is.
talisaynon
Well he did finish the night with a 5.4 era, so I guess he did suck. I'm just saying the FB velocity wasn't there last night. This you can't argue.
Garb
I think the Yankees secretly wish the Red Sox pull the series victory off (unlikely). The Yankees would destroy the Sox. The Angeles have some mojo going on right now.....something about an Angel on their shoulder or something....

He was consistently hitting 94-95. He was left in one batter too long. Wagner should have been brough in to face Aybar. Tito made a mistake. Of course with the way the Red Sox are hitting it would not have mattered much.

Blackout
Hanley just lead the league in hits and had a bunch of home runs and 100 RBI from the SHORTSTOP position boston could use offense, yes? Hanley = HOF talent Beckett = A.S. calibor pitcher
CrazyCarl40
I'm not going to waste my time with this argument. Hanley is a very good player. He does have great talent. Most say he also is a complete jerk. Josh Beckett may only be "All-Star" worthy but he's also MVP of the World Series worthy.

PS17
What does Skank Nation live in? Every deuce you drop in the toilet can mutter 26. Which is far more intelligible then anything posted here. I can only speak for myself, but as of right now, I'm living in the present. 2-0 series lead, Yanks look like the best team in the league, life is good. I don't give a **** about 26 today.
