DAVE SEX TAPE SHOCKER

Scandal-plagued talk-show host David Letterman has been rocked by a shocking new bombshell - reports of a sex tape showing him with a female staff member.

A studio surveillance tape reportedly caught the 62-year-old star and a much-younger female co-worker in a compromising position - and it could shatter Letterman's already troubled marriage, say sources.

What's more, the tape could persuade worried CBS execs to hammer the final nail into the talk-show host's late-night career - and could play a key role in the trial of the producer who allegedly tried to blackmail him.

"If the tape makes its way into the criminal case, it'll explode his marriage to smithereens," revealed a close source.

"It's one thing for him to have publicly admitted to having had sexual relations with some women on his staff. It's another to see him in the throes of passion with one of those women.

"Dave apparently didn't know the location of the security cameras at his Late Show studio."

Problem for a big corporation like CBS is they have all these codes of conduct and sexual harrassment rules that they apply(or pretend to apply) to all employees. It seems none of Letterman's underling-bangees cares, since they got career advancement with the shtupping. But it's going to be very hard for CBS to keep Letterman around if they want to avoid lawsuits from former employees and soon to be former employees fired for similar antics who will pounce if corporate policy and rules aren't enforced here. Also some employee on the Late Show probably got denied a bump up because either 1. they're a guy and not eligible for the Letterman Mentoring Program, or 2. a female who he didn't care for or 3. didn't want to take on a little something extra at the office.

But Letterman should take heart; apparently there will be plenty of openings at ESPN. And they don't seem to have any standards at all.

Good points.

Birkitts salary seems excessively high to me.

First you have to find out how many, if any, former employees were fired for having a totally consenting affair with a coworker. This was not a case of play with the boss or get fired-the women were completely for this affair.

Like David Suskind said-the two greatest aphrodisiacs are money and power. Letterman has both in abundance.

While I am sure we could Google up numerous cases where people were fired for this sort of thing in corporate America, (not necessarily CBS), coworkers most certainly are going out together and nobody is doing anything. Rules might be in the little manual they give every employee upon hiring-but how often is anyone really paying attention?

Ex-Letterman writer claims hostile environment

Oct 27, 10:21 PM (ET)

By LYNN ELBER

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A former writer for David Letterman said she quit his NBC talk show in part because of alleged sexual favoritism and a hostile work environment.

Nell Scovell, writing for Vanity Fair online Tuesday, said she had no intention of filing a lawsuit and wasn't seeking revenge.

"I wanted to shine a light on gender inequality in that particular workplace," Scovell, who went on to a successful Hollywood career, said in a telephone interview.

In the Vanity Fair article, Scovell said Letterman didn't "hit on her" during her roughly five-month stint with NBC's "Late Night with David Letterman" in 1990.

"Did he pay me enough extra attention that it was noted by another writer? Yes. Was I aware of rumors that Dave was having sexual relationships with female staffers? Yes," Scovell wrote.

Other high-level male employees were having sexual relationships with female staffers as well, she alleges, and the women gained professional benefits from those relationships.

"Did that make me feel demeaned? Completely. Did I say anything at the time? Sadly, no," wrote Scovell, whose credits include writing for the series "Coach" and "Monk" and creating "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch." She's also produced and directed.

Letterman, who moved to CBS in 1993 for "Late Show," has admitted to workplace affairs that led to an alleged blackmail plot.

Officials from Letterman's production company, Worldwide Pants, Inc., declined to comment Tuesday on Scovell's article.

CBS News producer Robert J. "Joe" Halderman has pleaded not guilty to trying to extort $2 million from Letterman to keep some of the comedian's sexual affairs quiet.

Scovell wrote she doesn't intend to seek legal action. Instead, she said, she wants to call attention to the complete lack of women writers on all talk shows, whether hosted by Letterman or NBC's Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien.

"I don't want compensation. I don't want revenge. I don't want Dave to go down (oh, grow up, people). I just want Dave to hire some qualified female writers and then treat them with respect. And that goes for Jay and Conan, too," she wrote.

She quit Letterman's NBC show, Scovell wrote, because she saw "I was not going to thrive professionally in that workplace. And although there were various reasons for that, sexual politics did play a major part."

When Letterman asked why she was leaving the New York-based show, she says she considered telling him the truth but balked because his "rumored mistress" was within earshot. Instead, Scovell writes, she told him she missed Los Angeles.

"You're welcome back anytime," Scovell recalls Letterman telling her.

Seems like these "sources" are really laying on the mustard with this. Its not like his marriage wasnt over once the news got out originally. The tape is just insult to injury.

Wonder how much the letterman sex tape would run for on the streets. R. Kelly pissing on girls made a killin lol.

Underage girls to boot.

at what age does pissin on girls change from sport to a violation.

Seriously R Kelly is a sicko and should be behind bars. sex acts & urinating on underage girls & or boys is as evil as it gets imo.

Not sure if he ever was convicted but arrested & it is a known fact he's a pervert.(i'm referring to R.Kelly not DNA)
