Many teams run that smoke screen and it works. The assertion that it cost us the game in the playoffs is foolish too. Bottom line, you have to run the ball up the guy, that's what Jones is for. It's not just about the gains, but making the offense respect it so you can take your chances downfield and to the outside, it's also about wearing out the defense. Yes but you need to not run the exact same type of runs out of the same looks... or they will get stuffed... shotty uses certain looks for certain runs and never changes it... Fans can point it out a lot of the time... you do realize that if we can know what will happen the DC on the other team can destroy the play... Neither one runs w/ the power of R.Brown/R.Williams. That, and the Dolphins have greater size and depth on the O-line. Wilcat is mostly blocking, and we don't stack up there. The Jets offense looked good when Favre was healthy.
