Official attendances and fan segregation

Hello!

I don`t seem to hear or read much about the official crowd figures for

each game, not just the Jets but in general, partcularly in soccer in

England it always provides a talking point as crowds rise and fall and

how full the stadium looked etc.

Some soccer teams even have official numbers for away fans at each game, I`d be

interested to know how many fans we take to road games, reading threads on here

you seem to be seated here there and everywhere, whereas in soccer away fans are

always given a separate location within the stadium.

Following my local soccer team many yeas ago I always loved being amonst a sea

of fans and all being in one place to sing and cheer, makes a great atmosphere.

Would the NFL ever adopt this and have a segragated area for road fans? I`d have

thought it would be nice to have them all in one area so you can just remind them

how badly they suck throughout a game instead of randomly shouting at the nearest

opposition fans you can see.

Does it even need to be considered or are drunken fights and ejections from the

game becoming more commonplace and it could happen?

From what I've seen American sport fans actually seem to be able to root for their team with respect for the opposition fans. A concept that's just about unheard of in the UK.

I hate the whole segregation thing. IMO it just emphasises the sad state of affairs with soccer fans.

They segregate in Italian basketball too. It helps for the singing and makes it easier to deal with any fights that break out, but seems kind of ridiculous to me.
