You just have to deal with toothless Red Necks, but they are no harm, just throw them a natty light or some dip and you are thier best friend. Ha! There's a Boston Terrier over here named Napoleon. My friend's Yorkie is named Tyson because he wants to fight everything despite looking for all the world like a featherduster. That I cant help you with. I'm a single dude and dont see that changing any time soon. As far as the couch thing, you just have to keep them confined to an area of the house until they are able to be trusted with the entire living quarters. Yeah, confining a dog to one area of this apartment isn't happening. It would amount to locking him in the guest bedroom and that wouldn't be fair to anybody. That's another reason I'm waiting to get home and get the house. Either way is fine as long as you plan on training both to respect one another. But having a baby and a puppy at the same time would be a nightmare in terms of your stress level, though. Ideally, one should be out of baby stage before introducing the other. JMHO. Yeah, I'm not doing both at once. That's for sure. My wife will probably be happy to take on most of the work with the kids, but I'm sure the dog will be my problem. I just remember hearing different things about the jealousy of dogs when children are born. Looks like it's going to be kids first because I'm getting too old to wait much longer! Which corner store? The one right before the camp grounds or the one in town before you go down the road that leads to the springs. How ironic, I've probably bumped into her cuz we used to go there all the time back in school. Definitely a nice break from the city...a bit too slow paced for me....but thats why I live in Jax...you can get the best of both worlds. Bruno is an absolute amazing dog. Old & slow like me so he's a great running companion. we go at 5:30 & he comes in & nudges me awake if I oversleep. when we get to the front door he's like a lil pup. One is supposedly a Beagle, but he's way bigger, I think he's a beagle and hound mix or something. My other dog is a "shep mix" but has to have some pit or great dane in him too. He looks like a mini great dane so that's why i say that. Both are on the bigger end of the medium sized dogs. Now they have those DNA tests though, which I'm going to try at some point soon. Knowing exactly when you get home or when you go running. That stuff is awesome. When I was a kid and we lived in Long Island, we had a Sheltie that used to bring my dad the paper to the kitchen table for breakfast. He'd also bring my father his shoes. That was pretty cool. Pops would have him go upstairs to his room and keep bring pairs down untl he got the right one. Dogs are great. I have two, always interesting. I don't really know what either one is. That photo makes him look huge. But yeah they will never include that the dog is a pitbull or anything close. Pretty sure my guy has shepherd in him because i can see it in his face at times but it doesn't help the fact that I really have no idea what he is haha. I've thought about lab and ridgeback too. I had a shep/lab/husky and he was a big guy so I don't know if Andy could have that many big dogs in him. He was a street dog, tethered on a short leash in '99, and it amazes me to this day that he survived the Winter. It was brutally cold, but he made it somehow. I still have his papers.: "Abandoned. Euthanasia, 12/30/99." I stopped it. He had no socialization, wasn't housebroken, ate my furniture, and enriched my life. Dogs are awesome. I'm convinced Luna was older than presented, but that's OK. She was found roaming, and her owners never did the homework to find her. She was a 'pisser', had health issues and pretty much got dumped, beautiful as she is. Her bladder surgery cost me a mint, and the antibiotics she needs when infection kicks in costs an arm and a leg because she has a specific bacterium. The things we do for love. She came home with me on 01/28/98 and pregnant. "Still want her?" "Of course." I brought her back the next day, had her spayed and her pups were taken. Eight in there. Just eight more dogs that wouldn't find a decent home. She whined for a month because she was starting to lactate and was all confused about what to do. She was too small to go full term anyway, but I know I did the right thing either way. She's deaf now and has a cataract. I call her my Doggie Amoeba, sometimes Amoeba Dog, other times Ghost Dog.
