A few Herm queries

a) why not let Bolly throw earlier to get in a rhythm?

why run Martin close to goalline. He isnt that strong. He is ok from 3 or 5 yd line with moves, but smashmouth isnt his forte. Actually a QB sneak would probably have worked.

c) why not go for it on 4th down with 8 minutes to go from our 42? We werent movin ball, Balt was killin clock. We probably wouldnt have time to getball back twice in a legit circumstance.

d) at end of game we had a 3rd a 16. At that point a 8 to 10 yard pattern was there that would have allowed a FG. We needed two scores to tie anyways. We then could have onside kicked or maybe taken a chance with defense (even though we had no timeouts left). BUT NOOOOOOO, we throw a hail mary to endzone on 3rd down. What do we do on 4th and 16??? Throw the freakin 19 yd pass short of 1st down markers to end hopes.

Didn't understand that at all. As if Anthony freaking Wright was suddenly from midfield going to drive the field for a quick 7 like Dan Fouts. It keeps coming back to coaching scared, playing not to lose, and showing zero confidence in the offense. May be, is playoff game, you play it the way they did. The Jets are far from any playoff game. But this season is hanging by a string. To not go balls to the wall there and trust you offense that much, you're giving up. And that message filters down to the team-like battery acid.
