Otter
UPDATE, 9:07 p.m.: Guess they were serious. Cameron has agreed to a two-year deal worth in the neighborhood of $16 million. It is contingent on a physical. Would they try to throw Ellsbury in on a deal for Gonzalez?

They created a monster in 04, and now they gotta feed it.

CrazyCarl40
Camereon is a better CF'er than Els Would not be suprised to see ELS moved Cameron might have been a better CFer in the past, but Ellsbury is one of the better CF in the game. He should have gotten a gold glove. Most of the media in Boston is giving this signing a thumbs down. No Bay, no bat. 2/15.5 or 6/100? Came down to simple math. Bay isn't worth what he and his agent think he is. he is 37 JonE dumb signin IMO Why is it dumb? In two years the young kids will be ready. He's a good defensive player who can hit solidly. Unlike the Yankees, the Red Sox look for good team individuals, not All-Stars at every position. Worked in 04 and 07. Yankees finally got the hint in 09 and picked up some good for the team guys. neckdemon
well clearly it's a downgrade offensively from bay....but their outfield defense will be better. fo whatever reason the sox didn't feel that bay was a guy they wanted to keep around.
