Bergen Jet
For everyone who witnessed some or all of the following and stuck with the Jets: The Mud Bowl #99 blowing the Browns game 2 missed field goals against Pitt 20 minutes from the Super Bowl against the Broncos Vinny T in 99 The Fake Spike Hearing or chanting Joe Must Go. Chad getting hurt when he looked like the real deal. The Rich Kotite era/error. You play to win the game. Green DNA
Selfishly, I want it for me and my son so we can share it and always remember that we saw it together. I also want it for all Jets fans, who are extremely loyal and passionate and live and die with this team every single week despite years and years of disappointment and jaw dropping failure. That loyalty needs to pay off so we can feel good about ourselves forever from that day forward.

NY JETS 29
My dad. He passed away three years ago, but spent a small time with the Titans of New York. That's where my passion for this team began, hoping this can happen for him. I also hope that this happens for the long time Jets fans that have been going through this a lot longer then some of us on here.

SoFlaJets
...and for all of youse guys that go to every game...we all know who you are...you guys even travel out of town, and spend an exorbitant amount of time and money on this team to make us all proud on game day by BEING there...the guys who go to training camp almost every day and give us the best reporting-better than the beat writers a lot of the times-all you guys who were either not yet born or too young to see SBIII...and yea for me too...
serphnx
Well that really is simple: everyone who's ever suffered for this team. And I'm not talking about any old "fan". **** those guys who are fair-weather fans or even just watch the games but don't feel the pain of the loss or the joy of the win. You know who I want this to happen for? For all the people who thought Eric was the Mangenius but found out he was the Mangidiot. Everyone who thought Chad Pennington was The Future only to find out he was just The Noodle. Everyone who thought Herm "Played to Win The Game", but later were told every drive that ends in a kick was a success and realized we were playing not to lose. Those who were glad to have new head coach Bill Belichick, only to laugh at the pathetic New England Patriots for what they had to give the Jets for him, only to watch him coach a bitter rival to 3 Lombardi's. For everyone who knew 1999 was finally our year, only to watch those hopes crumble in a heap with Vinny in Week 1. Everyone who knew we were just 30 minutes from the Super Bowl in 98, only to see it fall apart around us. Those who just knew the Big Tuna was going to bring us to the Big Dance the day he was hired, only to see him bail when it seemed so close. For everyone who thought that Rich Kotite would turn it around for the Jets, to realize they never imagined it could be even worse to be Jets fan than it was. And for all of the other years of heartache and frustration, a list far too long to complete here, for years of the Same Old Jets knocking on the door time and time again. But most importantly; soon enough, all of the people who thought Rex was the man and Mark was the Sanchize, and now get to realize... they were finally right. GO JETS! I think everybody felt the pain at some point, just managed to get desensitized a bit at some point. For me watching that epic collapse last year pretty much did it. The Jets have a way of drawing you back in each time but at some point you just become jaded and cynical about it. And that in a way is the healthiest way to deal with this franchise, because taking the highs and lows to extremes over a game is not a good way to do it. I still post here and I'm still happy when the Jets win and down when the Jets lose, but I wonder about it now. It's like this team killed my emotions, I wonder if I'd really enjoy it now as I would have before the end of last year. Or if it'd just be something like "wow the Jets won, that's cool" and then just move on. Maybe it's kind of like falling in love. The first few times it's magical and it consumes you, you think about her all the time. But then as you get more experienced it almost feels like a business transaction. But every once in awhile a special girl comes along or she does something that makes you feel the way you did the first few times. Is it like that with the Jets where we're old now but that SB moment will be like it once was? Or is it that we're too old and you can never be young again? Maybe we'll find out in a few weeks, those of us that have became jaded with this franchise.

LWC611
For all the fans who have been suffering with this team since the 70s that were too young or not yet born for SBIII. Amen, I was only three when they won SBIII so I do not claim that victory. We could all use the Joy that comes with victory.

Sperm Edwards
New Orleans went 13-0 for a reason. I'm just sayin'. What was the reason they lost to Tampa Bay with home field advantage on the line? Last 3 games: Jets = 3-0 Saints = 0-3 Therefore the Saints are worse than the Jets. Many times in the past I thought a decent (or better than decent) Jets season was the beginning of something special and every time it blew up like some Acme product in Wile E. Coyote's face. So while I think we'll be in double-digit wins and a contender again next season, in the back of my mind I know I've been there before only to see the Jets under 500. The best part about being the underdog is that a defeat doesn't sting as badly. I'm just saying...try to enjoy this, man. We're playing with house money so there's no reason to be frugal with your emotional spending. Live it up and go nuts with Jet-green bravado because it doesn't cost ****. SoFlaJets
From Fireman Ed's NY Post Article This Morning... "As the game gets closer, my thoughts are about the fans, and how long we've been waiting for this. I'm thinking about the guys who go to all the games, the fans in the parking lot, like the guy who drives the Jets ambulance...the guy who comes with the Jet hearse with the coffin in it - a coffin with the opposing team in it. "I'm thinking about the Jet Nuts and all their busses ...and Troop 16H...the Klecko Klan ... the Gastineau Gang. Those guys are still around, you know. The Jets are such a big part of their lives. I'm thinking about the old-timers, the fans that have been going since they were the New York Titans. Those people have been longing for this game. They've been held down so damn long. "I'm no different than any of them. I can get 80,000 people on their feet, but this isn't about me. I never stopped being humble. I don't take it for granted. I love it. Hopefully, on Monday morning, we're all celebrating the next step. The future looks bright, but you have to seize the moment because you never know when this will happen again. "The ball takes funny bounces. We - Jets fans - know that better than most. I hope the football gods look down and say, 'It's your time.'"
