San Diego cops can't just arrest somebody because they are yelling out "Jets, Jets, Jets" This gets me so pissed off. Even the guy who tries to defend the Jets fan gets kicked out. Disgusting.

They'll still charge him with resisting arrest. Best thing to do when you're getting arrested even if you didn't do anything is to go along with it and then let your lawyer deal with it.

Or he could take the time out to learn and understand his rights. What he should have done is not resist, you're right. However, If the cops asked him for I.D. he could have asked the cops "under what law requires me to hold I.D. on me"? Cops cannot engage until they can identify that you're a person of a particular society. THIS is why they ask for I.D. and if the cops were to continue to pursue him he should have stated that he then would be operating under "protest & duress" and would like for the cops to take physical note of that (write it down). If any of the cops would have given him an order, he simply needs to ask "was that an order?", and if so "accept" the order and supply a bill afterwards for the order to the precinct (All orders are followed by a bill...thats how currency flows). Also, he could have simply asked the cops a bunch of questions instead of statements that will be used "against him in a court of law". If you continue to ask questions it has to be assumed that your purpose for asking these questions are to get a better understanding of the law in which their enforcing, which will keep you from incriminating yourself if you infact dont know the law. Lastly, he should have asked the cops for their badge #, their I.D. and their business card, which all cops are required hold on them and to show upon request in order to prove that they are actually performing a duty as a peace officer/public servant. If they cannot provide that information on the spot then eveything afterwards is illegal becase they couldnt/didnt provide proper information that they where working as a public servant...and it would have been on tape.

You dont need a lawyer, just some time to learn how to defend and protect yourself and your family instead of a lawyer who works for the courthouses and not "you" anyway.

If you want to know what "protest and duress" mean...

It means that you are under protest because you do not agree to what is being said or done and you do not wish to make a contract, and duress means that someone is forcing you to do it against your will which makes the document void on its face , or not valid if you use that in connection with your signature.

So, instead of being booked for resisting arrest, you'll have a case for the cops putting you under duress after establishing that you do not wish to enter contract with them (showing them I.D. and "inviting" them to deal with you).

Stop depending on these lawyers who care nothing about you.

I'm still sitting here at home so my lawyer is alright by me.

I prefer not to get my ass kicked or left in the back of the cop's car in cuffs when it's 90 degrees out so I'll stick with just going with the flow. One time I mouthed off and spent 9 hours in cuffs outside in the caged in holding cell waiting to get processed. You might have rights but the cops can do whatever the **** they want until you get released.

Trust me, I've had my run'ins with cops since Junior High. I've never been arrested in my life yet I've had cuffs put on me and held in a cage for hours myself, because I didnt know the law or my rights. We're so scared of what the cops may do to us but they do it anyway. Once you show the cops that you know what you're doing and what you're talking about they back off real quick because they see that they cant shake you. So there's no need for a lawyer

Problem with most (as well as the guy in the vid) is that they deal with cops in a disrespectful way. I dont, thats what caused most of my problems as a immature teen, even if I was right, my presenation was wrong so I always lost. When I decided to grow up and learn the game I realize how much power I actually had. These cops be dead wrong most of the time because they're enforcing laws that they themselves dont even know or understand. They're just taking orders. Once you begin to pick up on your rights and learn what is what then in time the cops will know not even to mess with you because of your knowledge.

You can spend money on your lawyer, thats your right, but Im sitting at home because I keep out of dumb shyte, and if I ever interact with police I keep it very polite, but I show them that im no f'ing dummy. I've won ever since.

Obviously by the reaction of the SD fans around him the dude did nothing. The person behind him gives contact info to the woman that was with the man. The two SD fans sitting in the row ahead are very adamant about the guy doing nothing.

I was in SD last year for the monday night game. heavy police presence and they have gestapo tactics.

I wonder if the local press got a hold of it yet? You know they love to make cops look bad.

IMO, anybody that chants that in a stadium should be arrested. Kudos to the San Diego PD

just think, in 3 weeks the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets will be ringing through Dolphin Stadium!

EDIT: I forgot, during the regular season there are more Jets fans at the Jets/Fins game, so it rings then too!

No offense to most, but none of us were there and do not know what really happened. Quit jumping to conclusions that the cops just up and arrested this guy for the hell of it. It's quite insulting.

Exactly... I think it is fair to assume he was talking smack to the Chargers fans around him... someone texted security about it and they removed him.

Just because on the spot people were defending him does not mean that someone in reach did not ask to have him removed.

I just threw up.

Haha it's not going to be good for you guys no matter what. You'll either see the QB you could have had (Brees) or that top GM guy you used to have (Vikes).

But, oh yeah, the Jets would top all that off for you guys wouldn't it? The only thing better than winning a Super Bowl is to win it on the Dolphag's field! It's like a home away from home hahaha

I went to the Jets-Chargers Monday night game last year, took my 11 YO son. The security was unreal.....I have never seen so many yellow-jacketed security people at any sporting event I have attended. There were literally hundreds of people escorted out of Qualcomm that night.....most of them were wearing Jets gear. When the game got out of hand and all the Charger fans started woofing at us and other Jets fans in our section, we left early (which I never do). The video above does not surprise me one bit based on my experience there last year.

Are you serious? One cop doing something wrong is insulting to all cops? Screw that noise. It's a job not a secret society or a brotherhood. If you have charger fans defending him saying he didn't do anything it is safe to assume that he did nothing wrong. He shouldn't have resisted though. That was dumb. There are cops in this world who go too far from time to time. It's a fact, it happens. boo hoo. They guy is alive and the charges will probably be dropped.

So now people talking smack are to removed from the game? Stadiums would have 4 people left in them at the end of the game.
