Guest
No! Great hands but too slow now and pride won't let him accept the $$ he is really worth.

Bergen Jet
I would consider it if he realizes he isn't a top receiver anymore and accepts a contract that his skills dictate. He has good hands and averaged over 14 yards a catch last year. He would be an awesome possession receiver and we can still bring in a speedster for 4 WR sets to help Braylon spread the field. 4HCrew
this is not a terrible idea but my preference would be to get a younger receiver for Sanchez to grow with...he has one year left in him at best
Joe Jets fan
No, we need a quick Wes Walker type to play the slot. Just think of our offence with our two Wr's, TE and RB's with a Walker type in the slot??
Larz
nah he is an upgrade over wallace wright , but I'd prefer a younger guy

Maxman
The Jets are going to be so limited in free agency, I hope they don't tie up any of the few moves they can make with Torry Holt.
slats
The Jets are going to be so limited in free agency, I hope they don't tie up any of the few moves they can make with Torry Holt. If Holt is cut, the Jets are free to sign him without any limitations - not that that makes it a good idea.

Thanks -- I know you posted this stuff before, I should have read it closer. I thought he was still classified as a FA.
Vudu
Terrible idea. How about we see if Jerry Rice is interested?

joebabyny
Thanks -- I know you posted this stuff before, I should have read it closer. I thought he was still classified as a FA. Nope, he has a deal with the jags where he is due 9mil over the next 2 years, so he is being cut. Cut players can be picked up with no restrictions, so it wouldn't hinder any FA signings. Vudu
Rice is old. And Torry Holt is a spring chicken? Lol
Bergen Jet
He is only 2 seasons removed from 5 straight pro-bowls... has been productive the last two years... is 3 years younger than TO and a few months older than Randy Moss. He isn't ancient and while I think his pro-bowl seasons are behind him and that he is certainly in the decline he can certainly still be productive enough to help most teams out there. 4HCrew
I think there were concerns about his knees, that is why the Jets were not interested last year... he could help but still would like younger options
Jetsfan80
The NFL is a young man's game, and Holt just doesn't fit the bill as a slot receiver. Pass.
slats
Holt hooking up with Martz in Chicago makes a lot of sense.
spjets
i would like to see Woodhead more in the 3rd down situation...maybe he could be a Chrebet type...who knows... but we do need another tall boy out there...
HessStation
He can't start anymore and he can't play special teams. So unfortunately no.
