The last time I saw him he looked alot closer to 230 lbs. than he did to 124lbs.

Actually the 124 was kilograms, which is about 273 pounds.

Joe was embarrassed that he weighed 273 pounds, so he decided to put it down as kilograms. Now that he has lost over 30 pounds, he has decided to switch back to pounds.
