Maxman
Lol! Who's the delusional one? I'd be willing to bet that Ryan is the most LIKED coach in the NFL right now. If not, he's way towards the top of that list, nowhere near the bottom. Exactly. People want to play for Rex. The players love him. Even Crowder in Miami was going on about how much respect he has for Rex.
Garb
Very nice gesture done for a plethora of reasons, one of which is to genuinely thank a player who did what was asked of him and did it well.
neckdemon
You really need to talk to folks other than Jets fans. I have lost count of the number of fans from the other 30 teams that have told me that they still hate BB but they now root for the Patriot to beat the Jets because they can't stand Rex Ryan. And this was before he flipped off people in Miami. who cares what some cry-baby, jealous fans think of our coach....as far as the nfl itself i concerned....you know the people who actually play or coach in the league....i'd be willing to bet rex ryan is one the most liked coaches around. and i'd bet that most players would love to play for him. which is what i assumed you meant by dislike din the nfl. because, seriously....why would anyone care what fans think of their players or coach? 75% of fans are *****ing stupid anyway. villain_the_foe
Nice touch for the fans in KC that they show him running thru Oakland. Classy move. I like it. I was just thinking that, and I believe they did that on purpose too. Very proud to be a Jet today with how they handled the situation just now. Even if the national popularity of a coach represented anything more than fodder for mindless message-board debates, the opinions of thirty of your buddies down at the group home doesn't exactly constitute a statistically significant sample. That being said, does anybody think this might be damage control because the players supposedly were complaining that letting TJ walk was a mistake? He was well loved in the lockerroom. At a minimum it should take the sting of disrespect off his departure.

serphnx
He shook hands with Coughlin when both teams came out on to the field before the the refs add a meaningless second to the clock. But don't let the facts get in your way of claiming they didn't shake hands. The Jets have made some smart moves in the past couple years such as investing in a new training facility. And this ad was a nice thing to do. But based on the comments I have heard from fans of the other 30 teams (and no, not just Dolphin fans.) He is really despised by pretty much everyone other than Jets fans for his over the top trash talking. Jet fans enjoy it. Pretty much everyone else finds it more arrogant than anything BB has done. There are a few exceptions to that I know 2 Steelers fans that hate both and hate BB more than Rex, but most people hate your coach more. So you took a poll of every single fan of any NFL team in the world and these are your results? I've also heard your mom gives a mean BJ from a few fans, I guess that's gotta be true too since I heard it.

You've got to have a larger sample size. He on the other hand has clearly done a more in depth and extensive study. The Crusher
It was a nice gesture by the Jets. No denying that. But if you actually believe your post you're delusional. Rex Ryan has leapfrogged past Bill Belichick as the most disliked coach in the NFL for his crass and boorish behavior. And your latest trade was for malcontent deadbeat dad. Its gonna take a lot more than one newspaper ad before anyone other than Jets homers are gonna consider the Jets a classy organization. Dude please. Belli is a troll of a man with the personality of a turd. The type of guy that sends boxes of money to married woman and cheats to win. Rex is a just a fat excitable fella who lets his emotions get the best of him, but in the end is a pretty descent person. You should read the article about him and his nephew. BB being a prick was only cute when the Pats were winning and nobody knew they were cheating. If anything the Pats proved that being a no class organization doesn't hold you back from winning. Ryan=fat blowhard that the players actual like and want to play for. BB=conniving, cheater that peaked 5 years ago.

JustInFudge
FWIW, anyone I have ever talked to thats not a Dolphags or Patsy fan, loves Rex Ryan and think he's going to be a damn good coach. And Hoodie knows this.
Jbro22
A very nice gesture indeed. Future FA's see things like this and it puts the Jets organization a notch a ahead of others when it comes time to sign. Thanks for the great PR opportunity TJ.
