NIGHT STALKER
I don't know. I get the gut feeling this guy is the 2010 version of VG. USC
bitonti
lets review his file: really big hitter from USC (cough cough Ronnie Lott, Troy Polumalu) father was in the league, so he knows what it takes from all accounts lives, eats and breathes football supposedly can't cover, but had a pretty interception during the Senior Bowl and ran a blazing 40 yard dash at Indy... size/speed ratio that is off the charts... and Rex & Pettine love big hitters, essentially why they benched/traded Rhodes was he wasn't willing to hit so yeah... im a taylor mays fan
TheMacExchange
I love the draft. It's the only time of the year that I post. I've followed it when it first started to be aired on the radio. I was one of the few who called VG a bust and was pissed when he got picked. Mays will not be a bust. He did not have a great year last year. I hate USC but I loved Pete C. and I loved their LB's. I really wanted to draft any 2 of them last year. I didn't watch every hame last year but I did the 2 years before that. Mays is an animal. He was in on most plays. Go watch U-tube on any of the LB's that were drafted last year and you will see mays there on almost every play. I would love to have him.

HessStation
I wish I was, just can't do it. Trying to figure out draft busts pre draft is near impossible but guys like Mays, Cody, Campbell, JPP, Robinson scare me a little bit more than maybe some other "safer" prospects. But for what it's worth, I guess there really is no such thing as a sure, safe pick.
Bruce Banner
I don't see him as a first rounder unless you have a special scheme that you think he fits. Since the Jets play the 46 so much they might qualify. I also think with the league becoming pass obsessed it might be time to bring back the Rover position, which is sort of half safety half linebacker. I know teams use that idea without calling it that. I think using 5 defensive backs as your base defense with one of the DBs being an oversized player stepping in at linebacker on running downs is a good idea. Oregon used Patrick Chung at Rover because he hit so hard for a safety, Mays hits hard for a linebacker. It could work. But I would rather take a corner back instead so I'm actually going to root against taking Mays in the first two rounds.
NYJETS3233
I dont want any part of Taylor Mays whatsoever. The guy may have the measurables but his on field production and abilities are nowhere near that. He may look good in underarmour, run fast, and bench alot but I think we have learned from the VG pick. I want Earl Thomas or Chad Jones.
Ghost
I'm not a fan of him. People say he's a big hitter, but yet he only forced 3 fumbles at USC.
Mistalava
I pray that we do not take him. I watched him play at SC and, yes, he lays wood on people. On the other hand, very few big plays. Far fewer int's and forced fumbles than expected, and thats after coming back for his senior year specifically wanting to boost his numbers. Not a difference maker, and a reach in the first round IMO. He is definitely no Ronnie Lott.

His tackling ability is legendary, but he is lacking in ball skills, and cover ability. If someone is going to draft Mays as a safety (particularly a FS) it would be a big mistake. SenorGato
Mays has done for the past two years at USC is what Rhodes has done in the past 2 years here.
Greenseed4
I wouldn't mind Talyor Mays in green and White. The dude brings the lumber on every play. He swings for the fences, and sometimes he misses, but he usually hits one outta the park. If Rex takes him, I'll co-sign.
#27TheDominator
I think it's getting to the point where the guy is way underappreciated. Sure he has some bust potential, but there is a difference between rating him at the top of the 1st round and acting like he's a piece of **** that won't succeed. There are tons of ****heads that you guys pencil in as starters that don't deserve a 3rd round grade. This guy would be a steal down there.
