These guys have the potential to become the greatest CB duo in the NFL...ever.

Yes and no. In terms of pure talent and the level of play, yes. In terms of production, no, I think the rules just make that impossible now.

Cromartie has been pretty awful the past few years though. You're also assuming that a change of scenery will turn that around for him. For comparison, he has actually been better than Rhodes best year but probably right around as bad for Kerry's last few bad years.

:good_one:

Why not? Revis is the best corner in the NFL and if Cromartie's change of scenery and defensive scheme can bring back the old Cromartie, it can happen. And I think that Cromartie will flourish this year, he usually does when in man-to-man coverage.

Revis is the best CB in the NFL...right now. That label seems to change every couple of years, Champ Bailey, Asomugha and now Revis. Revis has done it for 1 season, lets see if he follows up with a smiliar type year.Cromartie was burnt toast the last couple of years and was constantly being picked on, besides his one monster year a few years back, he's been avg. if not worse. Maybe Rex's blitz schemes get Cromartie a couple of cheap int's.

Putting Cro back into an aggressive one on one defense and out of Norm Turners zone system will be the difference. I sense a nightmare for the 3rd level teams, like your dol-fags

Cromartie openly complained about the zone coverage schemes in San Diego that he says had a direct adverse effect on his game. It could definitely be true. Man is easier to play if you've got the physical skills, and AC has those. He may simply not be bright enough for more complex roles.

He'll play a ton of man with the Jets. I'm looking forward to seeing a bounce back season from him. Playing opposite Revis, who's not only the best CB in the league but also a physical presence on the dee, should help him a lot.

posters usually spell that with ph around here....got to be politically correct man. Yea you guys should blow us out this year with addition of Cromartie and everyone with another year under their belt in Rex's scheme, were gonna need some crazy wildcat double reverse, fake, hook and lateral to even get on the board.

I think if Cromartie buys into the program and pays attention to his coaches he will be a beast for us.

The veterans on this team along with a strong CS should keep him in line.

True.

Plus, there as an ESPN article around the time of the trade where Rex told the reporter (former player) that he thought the Chargers were misusing Cromartie by having him play so much zone.

but no arrests...you should worry about your own thug turds douchy

I'm not worried about the ones on my team or yours. It is what is. Ronnie Brown and Will Allen drink and drive and Cromartie has a particular set of skills, that he's acquired over his career, that make him a nightmare for woman in the city which he lives.

Everyone was still riding the Asomugha train, this past year was the first year Revis was consider the best CB in football, and if i wanted to be a d**k i could make argument that he wasn't.

You can be a dick all you want and that won't change that he was the best CB in football.

Revis has been in the NFL 3 years. He had 1 good year, 1 great year, and 1 all-time year.

If this were a courtroom and i presented the murder weapon (DPOTY AWARD) to the jury...with Charles Woodson fingerprints all over it....you'd lose that argument. But i believe that Revis is the best CB in the nfl.

listen hear serphnx, a player at the same position won the highest indvidual award that can be given to a defensive player...do you comprehend that.

Which was based on a popularity contest where Woodson won it as a "lifetime achievement" honor, not out of merit. He then went out and got burned like toast by the Cardinals in the Wild Card round. Him winning the award does not mean he had the better season, it means the writers perceived him to be worthy of the award.

No, you really couldn't make that argument. But try it anyways, this should be entertaining.

Revis plays CB and another CB named Charles Woodson was named DPOTY....so how does that work. So nobobdy thought Charles Woodson was the best CB in football last year? Everybody that voted him the DPOTY had some sort of vendetta against Revis, right?

Yea your right they felt sorry for the CB that posted 74 tackles, 4 FF's and 9ints. so they gave him a lifetime award in the form of DPOTY...

That is some weak trolling right there.
