ECURB
I have not watched wrestling in years... actually in almost a decade now... For some reason tonight I felt compelled to invite over some friends, get some beer and bought the PPV. GO HBK! It is like 1998 all over again! Didn't watch too much back then, but I loved playing him, among others, on the old Raw SNES game (1994).
KSJets
Even if it's fake, it was nice to see Brett Hart one last time at a Wrestlemania.
Ghost
Hasn't been any good in 8 years. More than that? Last time I remember watching wrestling was when I was about 7 years old. Around 1997 that was. Wrestling was the ****.

Bugg
MJy 10-year old, despite all of my disgust, loves the WWF. So last year we went to a show at MSG, like we did with his brother at the Nassau Coliseum a decade ago. I've been to a doulbe bill of Guns'N'Roses and Metallica playing a double bill at Giants Stadium with a crowd drinking all day. Been to Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and AC/DC. Been to VanHalen, the Who, the Clash, U2 a bunch of times. Been to more NFL games that I can count. Been to Yankee/Sawx game 7 in 2003. NONE OF THOSE CROWDS is half as scary as the mutants who go to WWF(and game 7 in 2003 was practically as close to a war minus firearms as you could imagine). There are adults who actually follow this crap. How they can dress and feed themselves is a complete mystery. That there are people like this who live somewhere in this country should worry you( I could add a political comment here, but you get the idea). The guest host was Roddy Piper and Chris Jericho(who's dad played for the Rangers)had a prominent role, so it was somewhat tolerable, because both of those guys get that it's basically BS. Thankfully soon my son like his brother will grow out of this crap and I will get to sleep at a decent hour on Mondays, and not pay for crappy PPV nonsense any more. When I first moved to Jacksonville almost a decade ago, I worked in a big sports bar for a short time that showed the monthly wrestling PPVs. We charged a $10.00 cover and these people were ridiculous. As a bartender, it was the worst night for tips possible. None of the waitstaff liked working because you could have a 10-top of prepubescent kids who just order sodas and refills and then give you a dollar tip on their 20-dollar tab. People would try to bring food in with them. We would just mock the living crap out of them right to their faces and they didn't get it because they were so into it. I mean people would actually bring championship belts with them to a restaurant to watch wrestling, paint their faces like their favorite wrestler, you name it. With that said, I find wrestling to be funny as hell. Vince McMahon has done an outstanding job of creating an ongoing soap opera that appeals to the lowest common denominator and routinely fills his pockets. Watching the crowd on television is as much fun as watching the action in the ring. My absolute favorite thing about wrestling above all else is that even after admitting that it is fake, a lot of these people still buy into it and think its real. Vince McMahon is a friggin' genius. My son was the same way but the day he figured it was fake he left it behind him faster than you can blink. Myself Wrasslin is a guilty pleasure - like Kleck says I find it funny as hell sort of like a redneck soap opera. I do not usually keep up wth it but if channel surfing I will stop and watch for a bit. The only reason I went last year to Mania was quite simple it was free - Suite seats parking food and drink all free -- worth every penny.

McMahon is a brilliant businessman. DOn't recall going to any event, not the World Series nor any concert, that had more merchandise being sold than a WWF show. He figured out you will always have a ready crop of young boys who will buy his product(or really have their parents buy it for them)-and the action figures, video games, fake belts, toys, t-shirts, glow sticks and so forth until they get old enough to understand they're being fleeced, or discover girls. Unless of course they don't grow out of it, like a good chunk of the scary adult crowd I saw at the Garden that night.
