Vudu
Notre Dame Recruit Dies In Spring Break Accident College Football, DeathCousins of Ron MexicoApril 3rd. 2010, 11:30am Notre Dame recruit Matt James was on spring break in Panama City when he fell off a third story hotel balcony. The 17-year-old high school senior died instantly. The 6′6″ offensive lineman from Cincinnati was in Florida with friends, including fellow Notre Dame recruit Luke Massa. The family was delivered the news during an uncle’s 50th birthday party. This is a very sad story and an example of a spring break worst case scenario. There’s no toxicology report yet, but… yeah… He’s a 17-year-old on spring break in Panama City. James had also been recruited by Ohio State, Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, Florida State and North Carolina. Why is a 17 yr old on SPRING BREAK VACA unsupervised? I could understand if he was in college, but he's still a high school kid.

I went on unsuprevised spring break trips when I was 16 and in High School. Just about everyone I knew did too.

Parents raise their kids differently, the thought of me going on Spring Break & hanging out with pissy drunk college kids @ 16 would make my mom laugh then ask me if I bumped my head on something. Some parents don't give their kids boundaries though.
war ensemble
I don't drink, so I don't think my parents would mind me going on Spring Break unsupervised.

Vudu
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5053059 All I needed to do was read the article to know he was twisted. It's SPRING BREAK, Sex & drugs are prerequisites. Which again lends to my earlier point of parents allowing a HIGH SCHOOL KID to go on spring break with College kids unsupervised. Even so, underage drinking is the main culprit here. I feel bad for the parents, they must be devastated. SMH
JetCane
They are saying he was drunk now...still tragic though http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5053059 That was my first thought when I read the article this morning- that he fell off the balcony because he was drunk and did something stupid. that's why I sighed. So the only type of surprise homo sex will be self-initiated. JK.

There were parents on this trip so obviously the parents felt comfortable. Regardless this is a terrible tragedy. May he RIP.

124
Idiot, but RIP. You're a top recruit to ND to play football and you're boozing it up in Florida? Smart. If I was a top athlete I wouldn't poison my body with alcohol, or if I was to still drink it wouldn't be more than 2 or 3 at a time, and only once in a while. Chad Ochocinco does it right.
