Oh well, typical Yanks/Sox game. Would have been nice to start the season off with a win, but you got to give the Sox credit for sticking around. Yankees pen looked god awful, but one game doesn't necessarily mean we need to start to jumping off bridges...same would have been true if Sox lost.

CC has a history of sucking in April...just thought I would throw that in there.

Typical Tom Werner move. Man, I just hate the Red Sox ownership....

Maybe it's just me, but having a five year old screaming "screw 'em!" on National TV, on opening night, is a bit much.

They actually did that last night? I must have missed it.

Stay classy Boston.

Since Henry, Werner and Lucchino blew into town, Red Sox nation has grown - a lot - and grown cheesy and pathetic too! Seriously, an internet phenom 5 year old reciting the Herb Brooks speech? Really? Because game one of a 161 is similar to a one and done against the Soviets? Really? Because a five year old screaming "Screw 'em!" is just so darn cute? Really?

Ugh.

Speaking of Neil Diamond:

1) Hey, Neil, the protest of the Brooklyn Dodgers moving is 50+ years too late buddy.

2) Botox much?

3) Someone, for the love of Gawd, explain to me why and how "Sweet Caroline" became a Fenway 7th/8th inning mainstay?

It's only a matter of time before he is no longer catching Burnett.

This year it makes more sense. Cervelli is young and last year it was frustrating, Molina was like 40lbs overweight and wasn't great at blocking balls in the dirt himself.

If Cervelli can reduce the # of passed balls, then go for it. Let Posada DH a bit more.
