Which is exactly the wrong thing to do. Is there anything about Messier that says he's going to be any good at management? It would be Phil Espoisto all over again. Keenan is like Larry Brown or Billy Martin-a short term boost. But he's not a young man any more. Torterella has 4 years left on a 5-year contract. So he's going nowhere, and may be with a real GM he does a good job.

Fire Sather. Get a real GM, like Caig Patrick(fired here in the 1980s), Ray Shero, DOn Maloney or JOhn Davidson(the last 2 chased from the Garden to make room for Sather). Or the next guy like that or like Lou Lamirello. Is there any superstar you can think of who did a great job as management in any sport in the last half century?

A real GM doess't take Hugh Jessiman(0 NHL games) over Zach Parise,. Instead we'll get Messier and more 1994 nostaglia, but not a GM who's scouring the colleges and juniors and international game to not make that Parise/Jessiman kind of mistake.

Great job giving oodles of playing time to the likes of Rosival and Redden rather than Gilroy and Sanguinetti. If we were gonna suck like this at least they could've esatablished younger guys. Watching Rosival and Redden SUCK night after night at these prices was infuriating.

Well this was a great way to end a season lose a shootout to make the playoffs.

Henri did everything he could to will this team in with minimal help in the last game.
