I'll cheer you all on! :D

I have the opposite problem (which people usually laugh at), but I definitely understand the work that goes into maintaining a healthy body weight. Keeping enough weight on is a big struggle for me and completely frustrating. I've come a long way but slipped the past couple of weeks, so I'm hoping to gain another 5 pounds.

What's not nice? I wasn't joking, if that's what you mean. Weight issues have been a huge part of my life, and I support everyone who's trying to lose/gain weight. Gaining even a single pound is a big deal for me. I have to eat calorie-packed foods until I feel really sick and be very careful about how much I exercise. If I'm not constantly working at it, the weight just flies off way too fast.

I didn't think you were joking.. My wife is similiar, eats like a pig and almost never gains weight.. although what you describe sounds more serious, i thought it was the run or the mill eat all you want not gain any weight thing.. And most people h8 people like that ;)

The way i see this going is we do a 12 week competition. Weigh-ins each friday. Just stand on the scale and take a picture of what the number is and thats the weigh in.

at the end of 12 weeks the highest % of weight lost wins.

Yeah, me included - definitely jealous of your wife, haha! I finally had a mini breakthrough a couple months ago when I discovered I could reach a good weight by barely exercising and by having multiple protein drinks a day as snacks. It was so exciting, I got to buy new pants and finally had really cute curves. But I'd like to be able to exercise on a regular basis ... and I've been a bit lazy about eating recently. So the weight has been disappearing again. Sigh.

Sounds good. We start this Friday? I'm sure I can't win based on percentage, but this will be good incentive, nonetheless.

You sound like my mom. She was 90lbs most her life and hated hearing "Eat something!"

Anyways, I think this is an awesome idea. Some know, others may not but I lost 42 lbslast year and have packed on 12 lbsof muscle since November. Now I'm trying to cut the last of the fat. I encourage anyone to get healthy and can assure you I'll cheer all of you guys on.

I've gained a lot of knowledge in my time making this my life so if you guys take it serious PM me or post here if I can help out in any way.

Just post how much you lose. Like Im going to weigh myself take a picture and post it... And try and go to the gym and lose weight. Id freak out and kill someone. Just do what you like and we can help each other thru it. Plus Im actually 3 months into a program my cardiologist and wife forced me on. I have this little gay dude who yells at me at the gym and my wife cooks very clean. Thank God for work lunches and drive thru's.

Have you tried a "hot beef injection?" It's the latest craze in weight gain fads.

Sorry, too easy.

I'm more than willing to participate.

I hit 248 back in January, started a diet and got myself to 223 by the end of March. Since then I have struggled to do anything but sit in front of the computer.

My company folded and I've since gone into business for myself as an independent contractor / freelancer. Needless to say, billable hours + accounting + new business development + self promotion + project management = sedentary porker.

I'd like to lose weight, but since I am having major problems with my back, neck and eyes... its equally important to me just to start exercising.

Count me in.
