My Friends I am no longer the failure of my family

After wasting the last 21 years of my life and watching as just about every one of my cousins and also my brother all got into a real college, I have finally done it.

I was accepted today into Ramapo College in Mahwah NJ, as a Communications major starting in Fall 2010.

This is also the first day in 3 years that my father told me he was proud of me.

Thats awesome dude. Not that I know you but Im very proud of you. Make sure you work hard at it and make the most of it. Make sure you keep in mind the whole time your in school that eventually you'll be turning this into your career and a long successful life. Besides for the most part educated people make more money on average and more money equals better Vajayjay.

Congratulations, Lewis52. :cheers::)

You know, not all young adults are ready for college at 17-18, or know what the heck they want to do with their lives at that age, for that matter. I think it's great that you're doing it when you feel ready for it. Good for you!

This is the first day of the rest of your life...go for it my man. You've made us all proud. Sounds to me like your dad has a class act for a son.

I don't want this to come off as mean, but when I read the thread title, I was sure that you were going to tell us that your brother, sister, cousin, etc, did something and usurped (good college word) you as the biggest failure in the family.

I guess I'm just a pessimist.

Congrats though.

The statements "I'm a pessimist" and "I'm a Jets fan" are really interchangeable.

I've never been there, but I know a girl who did. She has hot college friends, so I'm going to go ahead and agree with this sentiment.

Congrats!

...and whatever you do, don't go to law school.

Congrats.

Who took over the mantle as the failure of your family? Can we get him to post here? If you fail or get kicked out do you get the title back? Let's say your cousin gets a DUI, how does that factor into the standings? And who's doing the judging? That's a pretty ****ed up family if you ask me.
