neckdemon
Seattle is having the best draft thus far. they've had 2 picks in the top 14....how could they not be perceived as having had the best draft so far?:
Ghost
Yea I think that speaks VOLUMES about Mays. That should tell you something about Mays... Exactly. Mays is not going to be a good S in the NFL. No way in hell.
JetFanBird
Well theyve had two high firsts... Id hope theyre having the best draft. Haha, yeah that sure does help.

Darrellegivesmeaboner#24
Is there a player in this draft that Jon Gruden doesn't think is going to the pro-bowl? He likes to appease all organizations b/c he is going to need a job from one of them next year...
visajets
Exactly. Mays is not going to be a good S in the NFL. No way in hell. Ok then who do we pick at 29------------
Ghost
they've had 2 picks in the top 14....how could they not be perceived as having had the best draft so far?: True, but drafting a ballhawk safety and drafting the best tackle in the draft is pretty sick. Obrien2Toon
Those were 2 strong picks by Seattle though. I thought they got the better of the 2 tackles and Thomas there was a steal.
Ghost
Ok then who do we pick at 29------------ I honestly think we might end up with Jared Odrick.

flgreen
the phins are gonna take a NT. they run a 3-4 and have no NT....probably the most important position for the 3-4 defense. I agree. That makes sense. Joseph?

Irish Jet
Pete Carroll passes on Taylor Mays to take Earl Thomas. What does that tell you about Mays? Megabust. It tells you Thomas is better than him, which pretty much everyone knew.

Klecko73isGod
Ok then who do we pick at 29------------ Anyone but the guy whose college coach just passed on him to take someone who plays the same position. Taylor Mays should have a red circle around his name with a line through it on every draft board.
Darrellegivesmeaboner#24
You know what? I think I could totally live with Mays at 29...I know he doesn't have the greatest instincts, but Safeties aren't built like him...He can be coached, and if he develops to the level of his ceiling then we will have stolen one of the best players in the draft at the bottom of the round... You can't judge players by the way they are built. Pete Carroll just passed on Mays and picked Thomas, don't you think that says something about Mays? Mays is horrible in coverage, but he's a good hitter. We need to upgrade at the safety position. Mays is like Rhodes but their strengths are reversed. On top of that, people say Mays is a top hitter but he only forced 3 fumbles at SC. No thanks.

He can be coached? lol. That's what Mangini told Tanny about Gholston. I have a feeling after teams watched the tapes, he is going to fall to 2nd round. Maybe Raider scoop him up there, cause A.
