The Bloop

I just heard about this one. Apparently, scientists recorded a series of extremely loud underwater "noises" off the southwestern coast of South America in the summer of 1997. It was so loud, it was recorded as far away as 3,000 miles. Scientists to this day still cannot explain it. And they have never heard it again. They have compared it with every known sound that could possibly be anywhere near as loud (underwater earthquakes, volcanoes, plate movement, ice shifts, etc.). Nothing matched. They say it has biological characteristics. The closest known noise would be that made by a blue whale, the largest (known) creature on Earth.

The only problem is, the noise that blue whales make can only travel a few hundred miles. Not thousands!!!

Not satisfied with this, I decided to do some research of my own. I found it very strange that of all of the scientists to chime in on this, no word from the japanese scientific community.

And then it dawned on me. It can only be ... it has to be ...

GODZILLA!!!

I pray to GOD, for all of our sakes, I am wrong.

Maybe it was a group of whales who decided to get together and harmonize, like kids used to do on the street corners.
