Yankees protest game against Red Sox

Probably claim back spasms as it's a recurring injury and something that'll be near impossible to prove. Probably just took him out because he is the suck and didn't want him to hit 4 more people and get beat down.

You're right. On a cold, wet night it is probably impossible for him to actually tweak his back.

Girardi said he doesn't doubt that he was hurt. The problem is, Farrell motioned to the bullpen (therefore changing pitchers) before he notified the umpire that Beckett was injured. Therefore, Delcarmen should not have had as many pitches as he liked to warm up. Procedural issue only.

Obviously I was being facetious. I was more alluding to the fact that tito was probably happy to avoid another meltdown from his ace and create even more tension. The conditions were terrible, which let to such a sloppy and poorly played game, I'm sure he was hurt. Like Guido said, just a procedural thing.
