Klecko73isGod
You cant put him in the Hall, can you? As his current pace, he'd have to pitch another 3-4 years. Ain't happening.
Bugg
Other story of last night; Burnett has as good a stuff as anyone. If you gave him Jamie Moyer's brain he could win 20 games a year for 15 years. Utterly perplexing how this guy manages to sheet the bed in half his starts. Don't know if it's mental or he's a dope or gets frustrated or what the eff it is. At the slightest hint of difficulty he practically gives up.

You see the look on Tex's face when Burnett failed to cover first? I thought he was going to beat the living **** out of him right then and there. Jetsfan80
300 wins no longer can be the standard for the Hall of Fame. No current pitcher is really in the ballpark (no pun intended) of 300 wins.
Klecko73isGod
300 wins no longer can be the standard for the Hall of Fame. No current pitcher is really in the ballpark (no pun intended) of 300 wins. 300 wins was never really the "standard" for Hall of Fame induction. Whitey Ford, Sandy Koufax and quite a few others did not win 300 games and were clear first ballot Hall of Famers. 300 was a benchmark that more or less guaranteed induction but it was far from a requirement. The game has changed. Players will have to be judged the same way they should have always been judged - by their performance relative to their position and era. PFSIKH
You cant put him in the Hall, can you? No. IMHO Yaz is a borderline HofF due to generating nice numbers mainly because he played 23 seasons. Accomplishing 300 wins while averaging 10.5 wins (24 seasons-265 wins and counting) is not HofF material.

Klecko73isGod
In 2004, he wasn't even the best back in the AFC East. No, he was the best back in the league.
#27TheDominator
No, he was the best back in the league. Yeah, it took him 18 extra carries, but that one yard more than Shaun Alexander makes all the difference in the world.
